About this product
An ottoman bed offering a comfortable place to sleep and practical storage underneath. The hand-upholstered frame is covered in soft brushed velvet. Deep padding on the headboard and footboard adds comfort when sitting up reading or watching TV. The vertical panel design keeps it modern and clean. Made in the UK with a sturdy frame and solid hand-turned wooden feet. The end-lift mechanism provides access to a large storage area, ideal for bedding, spare pillows, or out-of-season clothes. Available in nine velvet colours to match your bedroom.
The storage compartment has a fabric dust protection sheet to keep your things clean. The gas-lift mechanism handles mattresses up to 60kg without manual effort. Sprung wooden slats provide even support for your mattress. The upholstered frame covers the bed base completely for a finished look. Wooden feet lift the frame off the floor with 3cm space for easy cleaning underneath. Holds a combined user weight of up to 220kg. Arrives flat-packed for self-assembly, two people recommended. Stunning!
I bought the bed in black, but was a little worried it was not a true black, but dark grey as some of photos seemed to suggest on the website. Bed arrived. Fabulous. A true black, with a stunning overall effect. Easy to put together, and seems of very good quality. I would say use your own tools. I used large and small Phillips screwdriver, and 13mm & 14mm spanners.

With a floor to underside of bed clearance of 3cm, this reduces the height to top of the siderail on the LLB Estella Velvet Double Ottoman Bedframe - Pearl to 31.5cm. The storage area is protected with a fabric sheet so should not affect this too much.
