About this product
The LLB Estella Ottoman Bedframe creates a more organised bedroom with hidden storage that lifts open when needed. Upholstered in soft brushed velvet in Silver, it features a padded headboard and footboard with a modern vertical design. The large storage area keeps bedding, pillows or seasonal clothes out of sight but easy to reach. The end-lift mechanism supports mattresses up to 60kg, allowing access without lifting or removing the mattress. Choose from nine velvet colours to match your bedroom furniture.
The storage compartment includes a fabric dust protection sheet to keep stored items clean and fresh. Solid hand-turned hardwood feet lift the frame slightly off the floor and add a traditional finishing touch. Sprung wooden slats provide support for your mattress and allow air to circulate. The upholstered frame with deep padding creates a comfortable surface if you lean back against the headboard. Manufactured in the UK with hand upholstery throughout. Self-assembly required with two people recommended, all fixings and instructions included. Comes with a 1 year manufacturer's guarantee.

I bought the bed in black, but was a little worried it was not a true black, but dark grey as some of photos seemed to suggest on the website. Bed arrived. Fabulous. A true black, with a stunning overall effect. Easy to put together, and seems of very good quality. I would say use your own tools. I used large and small Phillips screwdriver, and 13mm & 14mm spanners.

With a floor to underside of bed clearance of 3cm, this reduces the height to top of the siderail on the LLB Estella Velvet Double Ottoman Bedframe - Pearl to 31.5cm. The storage area is protected with a fabric sheet so should not affect this too much.
