About this product
The Estella Velvet Ottoman Bedframe gives you a place to sleep and a practical answer to bedroom storage, all in one piece. It's upholstered in brushed velvet fabric with a vertical design on the headboard and footboard, and the deep padding creates a comfortable backrest for reading or relaxing. The end-lift ottoman mechanism opens up a large storage area underneath, ideal for tucking away spare bedding, out-of-season clothing, or anything that clutters your bedroom. A fabric dust protection sheet keeps stored items fresh and clean.
The hands-free gas lift supports mattresses up to 60kg, so you can access storage without straining. Sprung wooden slats underneath provide a supportive base for your mattress. Solid hand-turned hardwood feet keep the frame stable and lift it slightly off the floor. The velvet finish is available in nine different colours to match your existing bedroom furniture. Manufactured in the UK and hand-upholstered for lasting quality. Self-assembly required, two people recommended, with all fixings and instructions provided. Stunning!
I bought the bed in black, but was a little worried it was not a true black, but dark grey as some of photos seemed to suggest on the website. Bed arrived. Fabulous. A true black, with a stunning overall effect. Easy to put together, and seems of very good quality. I would say use your own tools. I used large and small Phillips screwdriver, and 13mm & 14mm spanners.

With a floor to underside of bed clearance of 3cm, this reduces the height to top of the siderail on the LLB Estella Velvet Double Ottoman Bedframe - Pearl to 31.5cm. The storage area is protected with a fabric sheet so should not affect this too much.
