Deep, velvety purple flowers emerge from near-black buds, creating a dramatic, showstopping display. Hardy and early to flower, Salvia 'Amistad' is free-flowering from June to November, providing months of rich colour for borders, containers and cutting gardens. Ideal for planting in groups or paired with lighter-toned plants for striking contrast; place two young plants in a 30cm pot or space plants about 30cm apart in beds. Grows well in chalky, loamy or sandy soils, in full sun to part shade. Loved by bees and other pollinators, this perennial adds long-lasting luxury to patios, borders and flowerbeds.
