Nice pants but they were too big around my waist … fit nice everywhere else but had to return them… I had sized up to be fair but not sure the size down would’ve gone over my hips.

Sizes seem all over the place

I bought the burgundy sequin jacket in a 10 and it fits, although I'm a 12 to 14 in other stores. These matching trousers were 25% off but they didn't have my size in store. You can no longer try on clothes in store which really puts me off buying because the sizes are all over the place. I held a pair up in front of me in the mirror in store in another size to try and guage what length to order on line. Regular was about 5 inches too long and I'm 5 foot 6 inches and I'm a 31 inch length in jeans. This means regular have an inside leg of around 37 inches. I held up a small on me in the mirror and they looked like they were floor length, so would have been about a 32 inch leg. I went home and ordered a size 12 small. I've collected them today and they are too tight to be comfortable, at the waist. It's a tight elasticated waist with very little give. They are also too short, ending above my ankle. It's becoming impossible to get trousers to fit. I'm a 5 foot 6 inch size 12 and none of the tu trousers seem to fit me. Even if a length seems to be right in store when you order on line the trouser lengths don't seem to be the same. If these trousers fit you they will be lovely, but good luck trying to find the right size. Ordering on line is a bit of a waste of time and you end up having to go to collect them, then return them. A solution would be to add exact measurements on clothes descriptions. A size 12 S means nothing. Give us the length measurements on descriptions. It would save TU a lot of money on returns. Lots of people have told me they no longer shop at Sainsburys for clothes because you can't try clothes on in store and sizes are all over the place.
