Nice bookshelf for the price
This is the second one I have bought. Easy enough to assemble and fairly sturdy. Holds a decent number of books and is the perfect size for my small children to eaily access.

Great little product!
We’ve had this for around a month. It looks good and works well and has taken a bit of a bashing from our 4 year old who uses it as a house with toys too. We did make a little mistake when assembling and this meant I used a long screw that went all the way through on the top…! But it isn’t noticeable luckily!

Loved the design but poor quality
I was so excited to receive the item & had bought this for my daughter - as soon as it arrived & I put it together I could see the product was of poor quality. Parts of the laquer had already chipped away at the edges before assembly & continued to do so whilst assembling. I didn't want to return as it was a present my daughter had been waiting for. But I am very disapointed with the quality and will have to paint it at some point.

Poor quality with multiple damaged parts
Not the greatest quality. The roof part is warped and damaged in two visible places. The backing board hadn't been painted properly, so it has an odd bare wood patch. I would have returned, but I didn't have time. Alas, I can't recommend it and will think twice before buying Habitat again.

Hello Hannah. The Habitat Mia Kids House Bookcase will need the back placed on during construction as this panel would provide the much required stability for the unit and Wall fixing is recommended. Eventually over time the unit could become unstable and collapse so it is best to follow the suppliers instructions for building it. Hope this helps.

The height from the very bottom edge of the unit to the apex of the gable is 895mm (89.5cm).

To build the Habitat Mia Kids House Bookcase the tools needed are Phillips crosshead screwdrivers (small & medium), ruler/tape measure and a mallet.

The Habitat Mia Kids House Bookcase - White is designed to be free-standing although does require fixing with a safety strap to the wall to prevent overturning. There are no pre-drilled holes in the back for actual wall fixing, if this were to be done then it would be your own decision and may nullify the guarantee.
