Great price blind. Really easy to fit, I managed to do it by myself within an hour, and now my kitchen no longer resembles an inferno at sunset. The only thing I'd quibble over is the mechanism. Letting the blind down is smooth, but putting it up again requires some considerable force.

I needed to reduce this to fit. The trimming process was very straightforward and applying a little care I got a perfect result. Quite an improvement on similar products of ten or so years ago. The blackout is very good, the mechanism lacks a little smoothness, but for £8 you can't go wrong.

The Argos Home Blackout Black Roller Blind - 60cm (708/4971) can be significantly trimmed in width to fit smaller windows, often up to 10–14 cm or more in total, as long as the fabric does not catch on the mechanism. The aluminum roller tube and fabric can be cut using a hacksaw and sharp scissors.

The width measurement includes both the fabric width and the brackets.
The allowance for the brackets is 3cm in total and the blind requires 19mm fittings.
For the actual width of the blind, please subtract 3cm.
The item is supplied with 4 standard 30mm screws.
