Looks good but it not very robust and wished I had gone for a more expensive model. Breville kettles are generally good but worth spending a bit more as don’t imagine this going to last.

To descale Breville VKT223 kettle, we recommend using a proprietary kettle descaler (readily available in supermarkets or online) or a solution of white vinegar and water. Descaling should be carried out every 4–8 weeks, depending on the hardness of your local water supply (more often in hard water areas).
Hi JVS. I can confirm that the element is stainless steel and the body of the kettle (both exterior and interior) is plastic. I do hope this helps.

The power cords for Breville kettles are consistent in design and are only available in black. Unfortunately, the white kettles do not come with white power cords, without exception.
