Purchased about 2 months ago, Having had time to use the kettle, I can now leave a more realistic review. It is a great buy, looks good, quality is great, no discolourment, price is great for what you get. Can't fault it. The boil is really quite quiet too, a normal conversation is able to be heard when it's on. Would recommend.

What’s not to like?!
So happy with this kettle! The lid comes off completely giving a nice big filling area. It looks really good with my cream toaster. Not too heavy when full. Decent length of cord. 360 base. What’s not to like?!

To descale Breville VKT223 kettle, we recommend using a proprietary kettle descaler (readily available in supermarkets or online) or a solution of white vinegar and water. Descaling should be carried out every 4–8 weeks, depending on the hardness of your local water supply (more often in hard water areas).

The power cords for Breville kettles are consistent in design and are only available in black. Unfortunately, the white kettles do not come with white power cords, without exception.
