Lightweight and beige, like my personality.
Light in weight which is good for my aging mother. You put cold water in it, plug it in and switch it on and in a minute or two (depending on how much cold water you put in), you get boiling water! You can use this boiling water for making hot beverages such as tea or hot Bovril, or even instant coffee if you let it cool a little. I'm only writing this because I'm bored and Argos have given me the false hope that I might win a voucher that I then use to buy many more kettles! Yawn.

Breville VKT223 kettle has a wide spout for easy pouring, but it does not include a specific anti-splash or anti-drip device to prevent boiling water from spitting. For safe use, we recommend pouring slowly and avoiding overfilling.

It states it in both the wording and on the pictures.

To descale Breville VKT223 kettle, we recommend using a proprietary kettle descaler (readily available in supermarkets or online) or a solution of white vinegar and water. Descaling should be carried out every 4–8 weeks, depending on the hardness of your local water supply (more often in hard water areas).
Hi JVS. I can confirm that the element is stainless steel and the body of the kettle (both exterior and interior) is plastic. I do hope this helps.

The power cords for Breville kettles are consistent in design and are only available in black. Unfortunately, the white kettles do not come with white power cords, without exception.
