About this product
Once they're on the move, doorways and stairs need sorting. This BabyDan safety gate will provide them with some freedom to explore but within a safe play area. It opens both ways with one hand (useful when your arms are full). There's no bottom bar, so you step straight through without tripping. The screw fit holds it firmly, and quick release fittings mean you can take it down when you don't need it. Stop pins fit at the top of stairs for secure mounting where it matters most.
The 2 way opening swings in either direction, so it works in tight spaces and awkward doorways. One handed operation means you can open and lock it with a free hand. The double locking mechanism stops accidental releases. The wide walk through section gives you proper clearance without squeezing past. Manual closing means it stays shut until you open it. The screw fit installation gives a solid mount that won't budge when pushed or pulled.

Not fit for modern houses
Only gave it 1 star as wrongly assumed it would fit a standard stair width so did not measure . Not even close . Maybe made for stairs from the last century.. returned .

Good little gate.
Nice little gate. This is the second one we have bought from Argos. Very pleased with it. It is insitu at bottom of stairs to stop our little dog going up to the bedrooms. Purchased from Argos as pick up easy from Sainsburys plus I get my nectar points. Good service.

A great safety purchase.
I bought this to keep my grandchild safe in her room over Christmas. It is two year old proof. You need to screw the brackets for it in the door frame which makes it incredibly strong and secure.

Excellent gate and good price
I wanted another one of these gates as they’re well made and I like that they don’t have a bottom fixed bar to trip over ! They’re easy to install and look much neater than the sort which just press against the frame. I use mine to keep the dogs in or out of the lounge so it’s a permanent fixture. I also like that you can easily remove the gate itself by simply unclipping the piece that locks the top hinge in place.

I can advise that this safety gate is supplied with 20mm screws suitable for mounting in wood. Rawl plugs are not supplied. If the wall is of a different type, screws suitable for the purpose must be purchased.

Yes these are basically the same safety gate, but as you mention the BabyDan No Trip Safety Gate - Twin Pack is slightly lower in height.
