Great and slim fan
I have bought this Dimplex tower fan to replace my old desk one, immediately noticed the new Dimplex tower fan is much better Airflow and Cooling. Oscillation could be much better if is a wider Oscillation.

Noise level on sleep mode too loud
I bought this mainly to use in the bedroom to help with sleep during the hot weather, unfortunately the sound level on sleep mode was too loud for me & kept me awake so returned it. I have found an alternative tower fan which has a lower noise level at 25 decibels which will be more suitable.

I bought this fan a few days ago and no complaints it does the job. Can’t help but have expected a little more for the price however. Ion mode doesn’t seem to do anything? The remote is handy especially at night time and like the different modes and the tilt is good for when you’re in bed to get the angle right. It’s helped us sleep at night, the noise doesn’t bother us as it’s like white noise but if you are particular about noise, this might not be the fan for you. We found the cable quite short which is a little restrictive. We purchased two one for each bedroom, luckily with a 20% off discount code.

The fan works to circulate air, but to call it a "cooling fan" is a misnomer as it does not cool the air, but merely circulates the air in the room to provide a breeze.

"If the fan is facing you with the cable at the front, the fan should oscillate left and right."

There are no energy ratings for cooling fans.
The Fan is a sealed unit and can not be opened. We recommend using a damp cloth on the air inlet and outlet regularly.

There is a check that can be completed on the remote and this can be done by putting a smart phone into selfie mode and pointing the remote at the camera. If the remote is working, you will see a flickering light on screen coming from the remote's infrared lens. If you cannot see the light, then a new remote will be required.

Adjust the fan speed by pressing the “Speed” button. There are three speeds - Low, Medium & High and each press will cycle through the speed settings. The speed setting will show on the LED display.

Having checked the manual I can see the M on the display is for mode. You can adjust the speed from low, medium and high by pressing the fan button repeatedly until you reach the desired speed.
