These plugs worked well, but please note they have the extra round pin on them as well. Great for newer hotels but the older hotels in the USA often still have only the 2 pin sockets which these plugs will not fit.

A quick internet search shows that the Dominican Republic use a combination of type A (un-Earthed) and type B (Earthed) standard US sockets, of which only the latter will accept these adaptors (as they have an Earth pin).

As previously advised, Mexico uses both Type A and Type B sockets, these will only suit the Type B style sockets (due to the Earth pin).
You would need to carry an extra adaptor without an Earth pin to be covered for both types.
