About this product
When the door frame's wider than standard, this extension kit sorts it. Adds 6cm to the Cuggl Pressure Fit Safety Gate (sold separately), stretching the fit from 81 to 87cm. Perfect for those slightly wider doorways or spaces where a standard gate just won't reach. It works with the same double locking system, so you're keeping stairs, kitchens and other no-go zones secure without needing a whole new gate.
The extension fits seamlessly onto the existing gate structure, maintaining the pressure fit design so there's no drilling required. Once attached, the gate still opens one-handed (handy when you're carrying a toddler or laundry), swings both ways, and locks securely in place. The step-over bar stays at 75cm height, giving you a wide walk-through section that's easy for adults to navigate but effective at keeping little ones contained. Suitable for children up to 24 months old, it's a practical fix when your space needs just that bit more coverage.

I bought this about a month ago and it’s done the job. The only issue with the brand is that you can’t get longer bolts for the wall so if the extension isn’t big enough, it doesn’t fit to the wall properly.

We would strongly NOT recommend you do not use more than 1 extension gate to widen the fit. This Cuggl Safety Gate White can be dangerous if not fitted correctly.
