About this product
The Vax Air Stretch Pet Max is a multi-cyclonic upright that keeps its suction steady for consistent pickup across carpets and hard floors. It's designed for homes with pets, and the turbo tool makes short work of stubborn pet hair on furniture and stairs. The stretch hose and 13m cord give you a reach of 17m, so you can move through several rooms without unplugging, and at 5.6kg it's light enough to carry up and down stairs without much fuss.
The motorised floorhead adjusts between surfaces, and the 1.5l dustbin means you won't stop to empty it often. It's bagless, so no faffing with replacements, and multi-cyclonic technology keeps suction consistent as the bin fills. You get a full set of tools including turbo brush, mattress nozzle, crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, and dusting brush, handling upholstery, stairs, corners and floors. The hose stretches from 3.6m to 5.2m, handy for reaching high or cleaning the car. It runs at about 80 decibels, like most uprights, and works across carpets, hard floors, stairs and upholstery.

Good but not great
I have used this vacuum a few times now, the suction is great, it's not particularly maneuverable but quite light so not a big issue, the longer cable is really handy but unfortunately attaching the hose to the handle is a complete faff, had I realized this I would have ordered a different one. It's a shame it doesn't have anti hair wrap but that is only available on the expensive vacuums.

Its a budget hoover so don't expect much...
So I bought this as a back up hoover and for upstairs. I am very spoilt and have a big brand hoover as my main downstairs one so in comparison it's very different to that HOWEVER for the price...it does what it should. Its noisy, plasticy and heavy but does such. My biggest bug bear is the 2nd hose...to use the crevice tool etc you have to physically unclick the suction hose from the hoover head and then connect to the tools, its a faff. But like I say I am comparing it to my expensive one so it cant compete. It seemed to get most the cat hair up and has a lovely long cable. Id reccomended if this is all your budget stretches to, but Its limited with the faff of the hose change to do stairs, corners, crevice etc.

I very pleased with my new vax with 3 cats I didn’t realise that my cordless vacuum didn’t pick up all the cat hair I was flabbergasted how much was picked up in my first use would definitely recommend it

Great features
I only bought this a week or so ago, loving it at the moment, the suction is great, getting up all the cat hairs up . I'm loving the fact I can leave it at the bottom of the stairs and it reaches all the way to the top! And the fact I only have to use one plug socket and it all around the house. And also not too heavy carrying it up the stairs. And loving all the attachments with it

Happy with this cleaner
We've had this for a couple of weeks now and we're happy with it overall. Great suction, lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. The only down side is adding the extension hose is fiddly. I have to lie the machine down on it's side in order to clip the hose on, so not great. Also, I'm not convinced about the 13m stretch up the stairs, seems to be putting a lot of strain on the hose.

Yes. But I believe the brush only works when the slider on the front, which you alter for deep carpets or laminate, is on a particular side, it does not work on both.
