The Google Pixel 10a offers Android simplicity with built-in Google AI that helps whether snapping photos, managing your day, or staying connected. With ample storage, you can keep thousands of photos, all your apps, and loads of music without running out of space anytime soon.
The substantial battery lasts over 30 hours depending on use, and fast charging gets you back quickly when needed. Running the latest Android, it's intuitive with full access to the Google Play Store. Weighing around 180g, it feels solid without being heavy, and the sleek design fits comfortably in pockets or bags. This pay-as-you-go setup means you only spend what you use, no monthly bills or surprises. Love my pixel 10a
Love my new SIM free pixel 10a. I needed a new phone because my pixel 3a had a WhatsApp backup loop which caused my android system intelligence to continuously attempt to find the loop, which meant that it began getting very hot when it was just plugged in charging, and especially when I was on the phone and it was charging, and I kept getting warning messages saying my device needed to cool down. I managed to break that loop by clearing cache and forcing stop, but my WhatsApp backup was still paused to never, my pixel 3a was 5 years old anyway and I wanted to set up my new phone and reinstall WhatsApp using a QR code to break the loop, which I successfully managed to do. I initially visited the EE shop when my pixel 3a phone was getting hot and I didn't have a clue why and they claimed it was because my battery was dying, which was incorrect, because when I later fixed that Android System Intelligence loop, the phone cooled down and began acting normally again. Anyway, they quoted me £27 on a 3 year contract, rising to £28.50 year 2 and £30 year 3, totalling £1,026. My SIM only with EE is currently £8.50, rising to £10 next year and £11.50 in year 3, totalling £360 for my data and free messages/texts. Adding the £360 to the price of the pixel 10a 128GB which is what I had planned on getting at the time of £399 = £759. That's a saving of £267 if I bought the pixel 10a directly from Argos. It was a no brainer for me. I would always recommend working out the sums yourself and whether it's worth it to you buying a brand new phone and sticking with your existing SIM only deal, or entering into a new contact and getting the phone included as part of that "alleged" deal. I paid the extra £50 to get double the internal storage and so rather than buying the pixel 10a for £399 with 128GB of internal storage, I cancelled that order and bought the same phone for an extra £50 to get 256GB of internal storage. I'm so glad that I did because my pixel 3a only gave me 64GB of internal storage and I was running at 90% and if I'd bought the 128GB, I'd probably now be running on around 50% of internal storage with another 7 years to go. As it is, I'm down to 15%. I chose the Berry colour - love it. It's like a coral kind of colour and I wanted something different from my white Pixel 3a. The camera is brilliant and the photos look amazing. A lot clearer and brighter than usual. The phone comes with 7 years of security updates, which began March 2026 and so I'm hoping to keep the phone until the security updates expire March 2933, which is why I've optimised to charging my battery to only 80% - in the hope of retaining it's battery life throughout the same period. The phone comes with a USB-C cable but no plug. Because I still had the original plug from my pixel 3a I initially used that before noticing that it wasn't providing me with a fast charge and it was showing that it'd take an hour to charge just 20% of my battery. I researched into it and realised that my pixel 3a plug has a max 18W and you need a 35W plug in order to get a fast charge from the pixel 10a Going the cheap route, initially I bought one for £11.99 on eBay and then realised it could potentially be a fire risk and so I cancelled that order and asked Google where I could get a genuine Google 35W plug from. It replied either Google themselves or John Lewis. I then bought 2 plugs and a spare USB-C cable from John Lewis as I wanted a spare of both, just in case I left my charger somewhere. The plugs from John Lewis are £25 each, which apparently is the standard price for a genuine Google plug. The battery charge is now super fast and I'm really chuffed with it. I couldn't believe it when I heard the sound quality and I definitely wasn't expecting that. It's like what you get when you listen to a really good Bluetooth speaker. This is only my second smartphone and therefore I'm a pixel lover because I don't know any different, but for me the pixel 10a is even better than I expected, I'm really happy with it t and I hope that it lasts me 7 years.

Early days of a new mobile phone
Six days in with the Pixel 10a, charged three times, very good battery. Screen looks good for simple browsing and comms. Not taken many photos yet. Keyboard can jump a bit, may be a haptic thing. Transfer from old phone went well, a few things to tidy but not too much work. Will try and update in a month or so.

Fine
Barely used the phone but it appears to be good. Battery life is moderate. Camera is good. Connectivity is fine. Performance is fine. Security I do not know.

Pixel 10A good phone
It is a nice phone, good battery life with a good camera and plenty of storage. It is my first Pixel, but overall I am happy with it. The sound from the speaker is a bit different to my old phone, but is fine for a phone speaker. The offered Nectar points when purchasing were part of the reason I bought the phone when I did, but I have not got them yet. The camera app doesn't seem to have a Pro mode, but has all the features to do what I need.
