Mateos fire chameleon
This LEGO DreamZzz set was a huge hit in our household. My 10 year old son built it independently over a couple of days, dipping in and out when he had time. The step-by-step instructions were clear and easy enough for him to follow on his own, which made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. The set itself is bright, colourful, and really well designed. We loved the storytelling aspect included in the instruction booklet, which ties into the LEGO DreamZzz series and adds a fun, creative touch. The 2-in-1 build option is a great bonus. both versions are equally fun and imaginative. Overall, it’s a brilliant, engaging set that I’d highly recommend for kids who enjoy building and storytelling.

Amazing Lego Set
Lego dreamz was such an amazing set to build,it's such a fun and interactive set.For example, in the Lego instructions booklet were these cool illustrations that were very similar to the storyline of the series, which is great. Its such a bright and colourful set and is brilliant for children of all ages. This is a lovely set of Lego and I would definitely recommend this to everyone,it's a lovely set. What was cool is how it's a 2 in 1, and they were both equally fun and simple to make, and turned out great.A great set.

“Unleash Imagination with Mateo’s Fire Chameleon –
LEGO DREAMZzz has captured the imagination of many young builders with its unique concept of dream-inspired adventures, and Mateo’s Fire Chameleon is one of the most creative and vibrant sets in the series. Packed with color, fun features, and imaginative storytelling, this set is a must-have for kids who love action, fantasy, and wild creatures. At first glance, the Fire Chameleon immediately stands out with its bold design and fiery color palette. A combination of bright reds, oranges, and greens gives it a dynamic, dreamlike look. The creature itself is a fusion between a robotic lizard and a fire-breathing dragon, perfectly in line with the DREAMZzz universe, where anything imagined in dreams can come to life. The build is moderately challenging, ideal for kids aged 7 and up. With just over 300 pieces, it strikes the perfect balance between complexity and playability. The instructions are story-based, encouraging kids to follow along as if they are part of the adventure. One of the coolest features is the two-in-one build option—builders can choose between a fire-powered creature or a hover vehicle-style lizard. This adds replay value and encourages creativity beyond the standard instructions. The articulation of the Fire Chameleon is impressive for a mid-sized LEGO creature. Its legs, tail, and jaw are all moveable, allowing for dynamic poses and action scenes. The back features flame elements and a cannon that can launch a projectile—perfect for defending the dream world from nightmares. Kids will enjoy making the Chameleon blast its enemies or strike heroic poses alongside other characters in the DREAMZzz lineup. The minifigures included are another strong point. The set comes with Mateo, one of the main characters from the DREAMZzz series, complete with his signature green paintbrush weapon. Mateo’s minifigure has great detailing, including his dual-molded hair and expressive face print. He is joined by a small dreamling sidekick that adds a touch of whimsy and fun to the story. The villain in this set—a Grimspawn—is also very well designed, with dark colors and creepy features that contrast well with the brightness of the Chameleon. Story-wise, this set continues the DREAMZzz narrative where children become heroes in their dreams, fighting off nightmare creatures. It inspires role-play and helps spark creativity, especially if kids are following the show or other sets in the line. In terms of value, Mateo’s Fire Chameleon is reasonably priced for what it offers. The play features, articulation, and story integration make it worth it, especially for fans of the DREAMZzz universe. Whether played with on its own or combined with other sets, this one offers plenty of fun and inspiration. Verdict: Mateo’s Fire Chameleon is a colorful, exciting, and imaginative LEGO set that blends creativity with action. With versatile builds, great minifigures, and a strong story element, it’s a standout in the DREAMZzz line. Whether your child is a collector or a first-time builder, this set is sure to spark hours of fun—and dreams.

Colourful chameleon
My 10 year old daughter loved building this. She did it all on her own without any help and now sits proudly on display. It’s a very colourful and playful build especially when your child loves chameleons and would recommend.

Great Lego
My daughter and grandson built this Lego. She is 14 and said it was fun to build. She collects Lego and this is another to add to her collection. It took about an hour and a half to build. You can use the figures to ply with the chameleon. And place them wherever you want for hours of fun. The instructions were easy to follow. I would recommend this I would recommend this Lego for about ages 7 and above.

Lovely vibrant set with great playability!
This set os fantastic. As always with lego, as you'd expect, the packaging and instructions are spot on. It comes with an age guide but for any lego fan the step by step instruction are great. The set itself is reality vibrant and colourful. The build was great fun and the end product is fantastic as a dispaly oiece as it looks so good but also has endless amounts of playability with the big set and the great additional mini figures.

No Camouflaging This Great Build
This is a particularly colourful and fun build from the Lego Master Builders! Whilst not particularly challenging on a technical level, Mateo’s Fire Chameleon incorporates some nice design features and build techniques in its near-450 pieces (including mini-builds). Anyone completing this build will be particularly proud of: Ratcheted, poseable legs with fully rotatable feet, upon which even the toes are articulated; A fully articulated head; A hinged, poseable crest on the head; A hinged jaw; Rotatable eyes that mimic a real chameleon’s eye movements! Even the depiction of fire-breathing is nicely achieved with a new, large, bespoke Lego flame piece. There is plenty of opportunity for the young Lego enthusiast, or Lego Dreamzzz fan, to explore SNOT, tile, and plate building techniques on an unusually shaped model – curves and semicircles – rather than Lego’s traditional, angular constructions. This can lead to more imaginative MOCs, and a greater appreciation of the flexibility that Lego can bring to play and beyond. Whilst most of Mateo’s Fire Chameleon is built using standard Lego pieces, the head, legs, feet, and tail utilise Technic pins and ball joints (including ratchet ball joints) in order to facilitate strength, functionality, and playability. I strongly approve of Lego incorporating Technic elements into other sets as it gives young fans an early insight into the possibilities of these more technical sets. In addition to Mateo’s Fire Chameleon, this set includes two minifigs – Mateo and Zero, the villain – and a Z-Blob who, in my grandson’s opinion, is FINALLY to the correct scale! There’s a speeder to build for Mateo and a Mech to build for Z-Blob (with alternative build instructions), and an additional Logan, Cyberling, and a mini-crawler. The speeder and mech each have a pair of stud cannons: they work on a simple, press down on an angled pivot whilst the studs are ejected against the force of friction, but the studs REALLY fly – so make sure you don't use any you need for critical builds! These minibuilds come with a green exhaust cloud that my grandson wouldn’t stop laughing about. They look like cartoon exhaust clouds, but not from vehicles – I assume the designers in Denmark missed this unintended backfire. My only negatives are: The overuse of stickers in this set, even on the largest, most visible area of the sides of the chameleon. A poorly placed sticker can ruin the aesthetics of a build and lead to disappointment. It is always much more pleasing to have printed bricks in a Lego set – even Mateo and Zero have printed torsos and bodies in this set. This is disappointing. Secondly, Lego have pulled the Lego Builder, online instruction app from Chromebook. Whilst my grandson can still manage to access the far more detailed digital instructions on a phone, it is less than ideal and a retrogressive step on the part of Lego. All-in-all, the Lego Dreamzzz: Mateo’s Fire Chameleon set is a great build. I would say it is simple enough to be managed by experienced builders of 6+, with a little help over the fiddly parts, such as the feet and toes. The addition of Technic elements not only add pathways to more challenging sets, but add robustness to the build that allows playability without constantly having to worry about the build falling apart – or, aesthetically, it looks good enough to display proudly with your other builds.

The kids loved it
Easy assembling for a 8 and 9 year old. Easy to follow instruction booklet inlcusing pictures of each piece. Step by step 1 to 4 in seperate bags. Including some additonal added extra pieces. The only thing the kids said is that the bags the pieces come in are not so great to open and end up opening spraying the lego pieces everywhere
