It Lives Up To It's Name!
This is a real monster of a speaker! I looked at the dimensions before purchase and whilst I got the tape measure out, I am not sure I grasped the size of the ‘total’ shape. That is not a negative comment but a realisation of the physical presence of the product. Very simple to set-up and also register the product on the system. The physical presence of the product is more than matched by the quality of the sound depth and clarity. I have used the speaker as gentle background music to just keep the silence away and I have used it in anger to get the party started. In both cases it did the job well. I did really ramp-it-up and whilst the volume level went up to a very respectable ‘noise’ level, the audio quality and clarity did not distort. I have played with the bass options and can appreciate that for certain types of music this would be a real enhancing option. Maybe I will let the kids have control at the next family BBQ. The battery life seems in keeping with the product description but I have not yet taken to the limit. I will test the linked/group option over the summer, as a number friends and family have compatible products form the family. In summary, it lives up to its name, in terms of size and quality.

Amazing sound!
Yet again another JBL product landed on my door step in the most robust packaging. JBL really know how to ensure their products reach you in the best condition. I have to tell you something from the off, I have been an avid Bose addict for many a year but was tempted away from them when I heard their soundbar with sub, wow what great sound that is so I have high hopes for this Boombbox 4. I have started building my outside kitchen ready for the summer and this puppy being waterproof and robust is going to be the perfect addition. Impressed that it was almost fully charged right out of the box, pairing it via BT was as simple as putting one foot in front of the other. The sound from this is amazing and when you push the bass enhancer button OMG even at low volume it certainly gives an amazing rich full sound that is perfect for the garden party! The battery goes on for ever, the louder and bassier it is the quicker the battery will drain but saying that I have yet to recharge it since I got it. This does not have any sound enhancement ability so you would have to rely on your broadcasting device to do that however I have yet felt the need to enhance any aspect of the sound I push out to it as it all sounds amazing. The last get together I had went down really well with this JBL supplying the entertainment, I set up an old iPad for people to add tunes to the playlist, I was able to get the BB4 to power the iPad from its built in USBC plug located at the rear, it's own built in powerpack is a great bonus. Lastly the battery, its replaceable!!! So should the battery life ever drop then an affordable battery replacement is available, no need to send away it's a home DIY replacement procedure.

Amazing speaker!
The JBL Boombox 4 is by far the most impressive portable speaker I have encountered. It has a really long battery life, it's got really powerful and deep bass and the volume is impressive, not just for how loud it gets, but also because of how the sound quality is retained at higher volumes. The downsides are - yeah it's portable and has a handle, but you wouldn't want to take it up a mountain. This is very much a more compact party speaker more than a truly portable bluetooth speaker. It's also very expensive, but if seriously loud and bassy sound is your thing - I think this is as good as it gets from the world of portable speakers.

Super speaker
The JBL boombox speakers are highly recommended. The bass is adjustable, with three depth settings, and is powerful for the speaker's size. After installing the JBL app and adjusting the equalizer, the sound is clear and the bass depth is incredible. The sound quality is simply phenomenal. Vocals are crystal clear, and the volume is so high that it can easily fill a large space. It charges quickly and lasts a very long time.

Impressive sound
My wife loves karaoke nights at home and we wanted something powerful enough to fill the house and garden without sounding tinny. When we turned it on for the first time it genuinely impressed me. The sound is huge with deep bass - the closer you get to the boombox, the more you actually feel the bass. Some songs honestly gave me goosebumps. The good thing is the vocals still come through clearly which makes karaoke tracks sound brilliant. I also like how much more control the app gives you with the EQ settings compared to older JBL speakers. The battery life has been excellent so far and the lighter design makes it easier to carry into the garden while the kids play - this is great because we like to entertain in different areas of the garden. I would say at very high volume it can almost be too powerful for smaller rooms, but that really just shows how much output this thing has. For those who genuinely love their music and appreciate good sound, this feels worth the money.

Big ,Heavy, built like a ship, power 2 lvl Bass bost way more than enough for parks and open enviroments, energy seems lasting for hours didnt had the time to test it for many loong sessions of hard working, usually im reaching half of volume on lvl 1 bass it is more that enjoyable and pleasant, giving a 4 star only because of the design ,no shoulder strap

I’ve been using the JBL Boombox 4 for a while now and I’m honestly impressed. The sound quality is loud, crisp, and the bass is fantastic without being overbearing. It readily fills a room or outdoor location with excellent audio. The battery life is fantastic and lasts for hours, which makes it perfect for excursions, parties, or regular use. I really enjoy the strong construction and waterproof feature, so I don’t have to worry about putting it outside. Pairing with my phone was quick and simple. Great sound and powerful bass
I am really happy with the JBL Boombox 4. It sounds great with clear audio and powerful bass that really makes the music feel alive. The volume is strong enought for parties and outdoor gatherings. It is also convienient to take anywhere thank to its portable design. Another big advantage is a built-in powerbank feature, which is very useful for charging my phone when I'm out. Overall great speaker.

Awesome bass
I was a bit unsure whether to spend this amount of money on a Bluetooth speaker, But the sound quality is amazing and the base is ridiculous. The music that I listen to tends to be very Bassy and with this speaker it sounds awesome.
