This maintenance-free outdoor camera delivers ultra-sharp 4K 8MP resolution with 360-degree coverage and smart AI tracking that follows people, pets and vehicles around your property whilst filtering out false alerts. Powered entirely by the included Tapo A201 Solar Panel and backed by a robust 10,000mAh battery, it keeps watch day and night without interruption. Setup is flexible too, with support for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi depending on whether you need range or speed.
The Tapo C660 captures vibrant colour images in low light with its starlight sensor, F1.6 lens, and built-in spotlights, offering night vision up to 12m. Its 18x digital zoom reveals finer details, while pan and tilt ensure no blind spots. Two-way audio lets you communicate through the camera, which works with Alexa and Google Assistant via the Tapo app. It supports microSD cards up to 512GB and is IP65 weatherproof. Tapo cameras
I bought this a week ago and installed it at the weekend and having set it up it works superbly without any need to connect it to the mains power supply other than its initial charging as recomended the camera is set in a south eastern location so gets very good sun light its been up for 3 days now and still on 100% battery so will have to wait and see if the reviews stack up for yhe winter months i believe they will This is my second Tapo camera my first one is not a solar camera but I was impressed with it so much that it gave me the confidence to purchase this solar powered camera and I am glad I did definitely worth it . A word of advice " get the 512gb micro sd card with your purchase it might be expensive but it saves on cloud subscription and local server costs that can be even more expensive and if you do have ALL your cameras videos on a local server and the server fails you will loose footage from all your cameras but not if your cameras have individual sd cards installed Hope this review helps you choose

Great Value Security Camera
Excellent camera for my purposes - its set up in my garden to monitor wildlife and is so much more convenient than the card based wildlife specific cameras.

Just the job, easy to set up and great features
I have only had this for 2 days but up to now I am pleased. I think I need to move it back a bit from where it's set up but the coverage and clarity are great. Obviously only time will tell how well it performs day to day and how long it will last but so far so good. The ability to charge the camera with a USB is a bonus, we are talking English summers here so that is going to be a huge plus. The solar panel also has a small extension lead to help out with keeping it in better light. All in all I am glad I chose this camera now I just have to fine tune it.

Tapo cctv solar camera
This is the 2nd tapo solar cctv camera I have purchased after buying my 1st one over a year ago battery always 100% even in the winter months very clear images,highly recommended.

Great camera.
I've had the camera for a month. Very easy to install. Initially I charged the battery up to 100% before installation & to be honest its been at this all of the time. The winter months may show a loss in battery percentage but I'll find out then. I bought a storage card for it instead of using the cloud. Now have four internal & this outside one by Tapo & I intend to get another solar panel outside one for the rear of the house as the resolutionis very good & night visionis excellentfor this. I've been impressed with all of them & the app. Very easy to use.

Excellent bit of kit.
Excellent I can’t fault it, Picture is great, day and night. Charges well with just a little sun. It is a south facing position. We have spirited it too the 200hub in the house, for storage just make sure you buy a decent SD card to go with it, durable for video cameras cctv etc

Once your camera is properly set up and connected to the internet at home, you can view and control it remotely from anywhere using cellular data or any internet connection through the Tapo app on your phone or tablet. You'll also be able to receive notifications from the camera when you're away from home.
The key requirement is that the camera must remain connected to the internet at your home location and stay online. As long as it has a stable internet connection, the physical distance between you and the camera doesn't matter
Note that the camera does not support remote setup, so you'll need to ensure your phone, router, and camera are in the same location during the initial configuration.

Our supplier has advised that the Tapo C660 4K Solar-Powered Pan/Tilt Security Camera Kit is waterproof with an IP65 protection rating, but you still need to follow the installation instructions to install waterproof gear.
The camera will 'wake up' when being live viewed or when it detects motion. The battery powered versions are unable to record all night.

Our supplier has advised that the Tapo C660 4K Solar-Powered Pan/Tilt Security Camera Kit supports animal detection. However, if you require the camera to distinguish between pets and wildlife, please note that our cameras do not currently offer this capability.
The camera supports night-time detection. Provided the power supply remains stable, and the camera is not damaged by wildlife, it will not automatically shut down.

I can advise that the Tapo C660 4K Solar-Powered Pan/Tilt Security Camera Kit is not supplied with an SD card. A MicroSD card up to 512gb is recommended, which offers a maximum of 379 hours in 4K quality. It does not include a built-in siren but you can modify the alerts that are sent to your phone.
