The Tapo C660 captures vibrant colour images in low light with its starlight sensor, F1.6 lens, and built-in spotlights, offering night vision up to 12m. I did a lot of research before purchasing this camera, and I am glad I made the right choice. The 4K resolution is worth going for as picture and video is crisp clear. Night vision is great. If you have a 5G and a 2G connect always connect it to the 2Ghz WiFi as it’s longer range than the 5G. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Tapo cameras
I bought this a week ago and installed it at the weekend and having set it up it works superbly without any need to connect it to the mains power supply other than its initial charging as recomended the camera is set in a south eastern location so gets very good sun light its been up for 3 days now and still on 100% battery so will have to wait and see if the reviews stack up for yhe winter months i believe they will This is my second Tapo camera my first one is not a solar camera but I was impressed with it so much that it gave me the confidence to purchase this solar powered camera and I am glad I did definitely worth it . A word of advice " get the 512gb micro sd card with your purchase it might be expensive but it saves on cloud subscription and local server costs that can be even more expensive and if you do have ALL your cameras videos on a local server and the server fails you will loose footage from all your cameras but not if your cameras have individual sd cards installed Hope this review helps you choose

Excellent camera for my purposes - its set up in my garden to monitor wildlife and is so much more convenient than the card based wildlife specific cameras.

Just the job, easy to set up and great features
I have only had this for 2 days but up to now I am pleased. I think I need to move it back a bit from where it's set up but the coverage and clarity are great. Obviously only time will tell how well it performs day to day and how long it will last but so far so good. The ability to charge the camera with a USB is a bonus, we are talking English summers here so that is going to be a huge plus. The solar panel also has a small extension lead to help out with keeping it in better light. All in all I am glad I chose this camera now I just have to fine tune it.

This is the 2nd tapo solar cctv camera I have purchased after buying my 1st one over a year ago battery always 100% even in the winter months very clear images,highly recommended.

I've had the camera for a month. Very easy to install. Initially I charged the battery up to 100% before installation & to be honest its been at this all of the time. The winter months may show a loss in battery percentage but I'll find out then. I bought a storage card for it instead of using the cloud. Now have four internal & this outside one by Tapo & I intend to get another solar panel outside one for the rear of the house as the resolutionis very good & night visionis excellentfor this. I've been impressed with all of them & the app. Very easy to use.

Yes, the Tapo C660 KIT can still operate in overcast and cloudy conditions. The solar panel will generally continue to generate power from daylight, although charging efficiency will be lower than on bright sunny days. In locations such as Northern Ireland, the camera should still work well, but during long periods of very low sunlight, especially in winter, the battery may charge more slowly and could require occasional supplemental charging if usage is heavy.

Once your camera is properly set up and connected to the internet at home, you can view and control it remotely from anywhere using cellular data or any internet connection through the Tapo app on your phone or tablet. You'll also be able to receive notifications from the camera when you're away from home.
The key requirement is that the camera must remain connected to the internet at your home location and stay online. As long as it has a stable internet connection, the physical distance between you and the camera doesn't matter
Note that the camera does not support remote setup, so you'll need to ensure your phone, router, and camera are in the same location during the initial configuration.
