I moved completely away from Apple products.
I moved completely from Apple to Samsung products. Got rid of my iPhone and got the Galaxy s25 Ultra and this laptop i chose to replace my MacBook Pro and I couldn't be happier. It works fantastically. Lots more flexibility unlike the MacBook Pro, and it was literally 35% of the price that I paid for my MacBook Pro. I live mainly in Mexico City but I was flying back from Dubai and I stopped at Heathrow for about 7 hours jumped on the tube went and picked this up from a Sainsbury's shop and the whole process was a piece of cake. Grabbed a decent breakfast, took the Tube back and carried on to Mexico City.

Experienced Chromebook User
I am delighted with my new Samsung chromebook which has replaced my 6 year old chromebook. The OLED screen is so clear and my favourite feature so far but the quality of the keyboard, ease of use and the lightness of the device come a close second. It has all the features that I regularly use and need. As an experienced chromebook user I know that the specs will meet my needs for some time to come. Money well spent. Just one small point: I am a little frustrated that I cannot find out the maximum MicroSD card size that I can use in the SD card slot before buying one. I find this port useful as a very quick way to transfer files between devices.

The Chromebook to get
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Chromebook Plus with its Intel Core i5 processor is a device that has piqued my interest as a computing teacher. It offers a compelling blend of power, versatility, and portability, making it an attractive option for both students and educators. Right out of the box this is a premium laptop both in looks and feel. Performance: The i5 processor provides a noticeable performance boost compared to lower-end Chromebooks. It handles multitasking with ease, allowing for smooth switching between multiple tabs and applications. This is particularly beneficial for students who need to juggle research, note-taking, and creative projects. The 8GB of RAM is generous for a Chromebook, ensuring that even demanding tasks can be handled without slowing down. This is a significant advantage for teachers like me who need to run resource-intensive software. Design and Display: The sleek and lightweight design makes the Chromebook Plus easy to carry around, perfect for students on the go. The 15.6-inch display is vibrant and sharp, providing an excellent viewing experience for both work and entertainment. Battery Life: Battery life is impressive, lasting an entire school day with moderate usage. This eliminates the need for constant charging, making it ideal for students who spend long hours in the classroom or library. Chrome OS: Chrome OS remains a user-friendly and secure operating system. It's perfect for students who are new to computing, as it requires minimal setup and maintenance. The integration with Google Workspace makes it easy for students to access their files and collaborate with others. Overall, the Samsung Chromebook Plus (i5) is a powerful and versatile device that offers excellent value for money. It's a great choice for students and educators who need a reliable and efficient computing solution. Looks great and a real premium machine. However, it's important to note that the price point may be higher than some traditional Chromebooks. Ultimately, the Samsung Chromebook Plus (i5) is a solid investment for those who prioritise performance.

Quick and snappy device
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon opening the package, I was amazed at how light and thin the laptop was. And despite its size, it has all the important ports you would want on a laptop, including the HDMI port, headphone jack, and USB-A (full size USB) port. Plus, it has a full numpad, which is rare on a laptop. The laptop comes with a 15.6 screen which is crisp and bright. One thing I didn't like is that the screen didn't open flat or fold into a tent. It only opens a little over 90 degrees. Also, the screen isn't touchscreen. But these are just "nice to haves" and doesn't really affect the usability of the Chromebook. Now comes the benefit of Chrome OS. The operating system is great at browsing the web. It has add-ons like the Play Store, which allows you to use Android apps on the device. Plus, you can turn on the Linux subsystem to use Linux apps. If you're still deciding whether to get a Chromebook, you could use it on the go while using Chrome Remote Desktop to access your Windows or Mac laptop remotely. The laptop includes a big push for Google Gemini, the AI that Chrome developed, which, unfortunately, I didn't find much use for other than generating pieces of art. All in all, this laptop is a great device for those on the go. Depending on your workflow, you could easily replace your regular heavy desktop with a lightweight Chromebook.

Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm thoroughly impressed! The sleek design and lightweight build make it incredibly portable, perfect for on-the-go productivity. The display is sharp and vibrant, providing an excellent viewing experience, whether I'm working or streaming videos. The performance is also very smooth, handling multiple tabs and applications effortlessly, thanks to the optimized Chrome OS. Battery life is fantastic, lasting me through a full day of work without needing to recharge. Overall, the Chromebook Plus delivers a seamless, reliable, and enjoyable experience – highly recommended!

Surprisingly Good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Chromebook Plus is an excellent device from Samsung. Having used a few Chromebooks in the past, this model feels super premium in comparison and has a sleek, modern design. Out of the box, the first thng you notice is how light the device is! You can easily lift it one handed and the metallic build feels cool to the touch and is satifysingly sturdy. It easily passes the one hand opening test, which shows it is weighted perfectly. As expected from Samung, the display is the standout feature. Super crisp and vibrant, every task feels pleasing to the eye. On top of this, the keyboard is pleasant to type on if you prefer short key travel. The sound from the speakers is ok, about as much as one can expect from such a thin device. It's always best to use headphones in any case. So far, it has handled all tasks without any issues. The interface has been smooth and bug free, making the switch to Chrome OS from Windows very easy. Battery life has been fantastic, easily lasting the whole day under medium usage without any worries. Overall the 15 inch design doesnt feel bulky at all and it has been a lovely device to use.

Astonishing light and thin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Chromebook Plus is a bit different from the laptops I usually use, which use more traditional desktop operating systems. As such, it's a bit of an adjustment, but with great benefits. This is absolutely the lightest laptop I've used, which given the size of the screen is impressive. The screen itself is actually really good quality, bright with great contrast - blacks are black. The keyboard, although also thin, is easy and comfortable to use, and includes a number of useful function keys along the top. A lot of effort has been put into making the user interface parts as good as possible. ChromeOS itself is built on the Chrome browser, so heavy users of browsers will get the most out of this. For cloud-based activity, such as email, banking, shopping, streaming, web-based processing and working with documents online, this is an excellent approach, and the device specifications are good for this. It has access to the Android appstore, and can run Linux applications, so it can run a good number of programs locally. It's not quite up to more sophisticated tasks such as video editing or full office applications, but as web-based software improves, this will change. Most impressive of all, ChromeOS is very power-efficient and fast to boot, so I easily got a couple of days heavy usage without charging, and it was always on as soon as I opened it, which is better than other operating systems. Overall, it's a remarkable laptop with specific strengths, and worth trying if you're on the fence.

A Chromebook Upgrade Worth Making
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having used a Chromebook for the past three years, I recently decided it was time for an upgrade. My old Chromebook, while reliable, was starting to show its age, particularly in terms of speed. I was drawn to the new Samsung Chromebook because of its stunning 15.6 inch AMOLED screen and incredibly thin and light design. After using it for a while now, I'm happy to share my thoughts. Performance and Design: The first thing I noticed about this Chromebook was how much faster it is compared to my old one. Everything from browsing the web to running multiple apps feels snappy and responsive. The keyboard is also a significant improvement – it's well-sized and comfortable to type on, even for extended periods. And of course, the AMOLED screen is simply gorgeous. Colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and the overall viewing experience is a major step up. Seamless Setup and AI Bonus: Setting up the Chromebook was incredibly easy. I was able to quickly transfer all my essential information from my Android phone by simply scanning a QR code. Plus, the Chromebook came with a complimentary subscription to Google AI, which is a fantastic bonus. Enhanced Productivity: The recent improvements in Chromebook's integration with Microsoft Office have made it even better for productivity. I can now seamlessly work on my Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations without any compatibility issues. Minor Drawbacks: While I'm very happy with this Chromebook overall, there are a couple of minor drawbacks. Firstly, as someone who's already invested in the Samsung ecosystem with a phone, watch, and tablet, I was surprised to find that there's no Samsung-specific software included on the Chromebook. It would have been nice to have some extra features or utilities that enhance the interoperability between my devices. Secondly, the nubs on the bottom of the device are a bit slippery. I've found that the Chromebook doesn't always grip surfaces as well as I'd like, which can be a little annoying. Summary: Despite these minor issues, I'm extremely pleased with my new Samsung Chromebook. The combination of a beautiful AMOLED screen, a fast processor, a comfortable keyboard, seamless setup, and enhanced productivity features make it a joy to use. If you're in the market for a Chromebook upgrade, I would definitely recommend giving this one a look.

Best Chromebook Yet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a long term Chromebook user, it's glorious to finally have a machine that genuinely feels powerful and provides the performance and experience I've been looking for. The Samsung Chromebook Plus has easily coped with my heavy usage; dozens of tabs, multiple apps, Linux stuff, etc all running simultaneously with no hint of slowdown. Everything remains responsive regardless of what I throw at it and so far it runs perfectly silently and remains cool. The 15.6" screen feels huge and is stunningly bright and crisp. Streaming movies look great, sharp and detailed, though as ever with a laptop or tablet, headphones/earbuds are a step up on the built in speakers. Battery life seems solid, particularly given the large screen, with fast charging topping things up quickly enough that power has never been an issue. And whilst I'm not one to worry about aesthetics, the laptop is a rather pleasant shade of blue. More importantly it feels solid, yet is remarkably light and incredibly thin. Light enough in fact that I had to double check I'd actually packed it in my bag. The keyboard unusually includes a full number pad, a bonus of the larger screen, though it's layout is somewhat non-standard and takes a moment to get used to. The keys have a decent amount of movement to them, and typing feels natural and responsive. ChromeOS setup has been massively improved since my last install; the Samsung Chromebook Plus automatically connected to my phone, pulling across all my account details after a simple authorisation, with setup finalised in less than five minutes. All in all, a truly excellent Chromebook, impressively powerful with an excellent screen.
