Trusted brand - fan
I went with Dyson as I trust the brand and had read good reviews. Love the air filtration and certain helping my sleep with my allergies. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the airflow when using the fan setting does not throw out as much breeze as other fans even on max setting. The noise of the fan does not bother me at all, a little white noise helps my sleep

Poor value for money
Shocked at how ineffective this product is as a cooling fan. Returning.

Great fan
I got this a couple of weeks ago it’s great the fan is great with the different options you can set it for a hour or 4-8 hours it has great app that tells you all about the airflow and how it’s doing I got it for the pure air filter so glad I did

You should purchase this for its purification
Not much of a fan - it is a better air purifier and should be advertised and sold as such. We have ended up with another fan for hot weather as this is not up to the job.

Weak fan, some major improvements needed
I was very disappointed to find out that the “Cool” function wasn’t nearly as powerful as other Dyson machines branded as “Cool”. It feels quite misleading to use the same branding across products with much more powerful fans, because you naturally assume you’re getting both an air purifier and an effective cooling fan in one machine. The reality couldn’t be more different. The cooling performance is more like a gentle breeze than a proper fan. During a 37°C heatwave, it simply isn’t capable of cooling you down. I’ve ended up using my traditional metal rotary fan instead, which does a much better job. Even my five-year-old budget tower fan from the high street has noticeably more airflow and cooling power than this premium Dyson product. Another major issue is that whenever I use a humidifier in the bedroom to improve my sleep, the air purifier detects the water vapour as pollution and immediately switches to its highest setting. This means you can’t rely on the indoor air quality readings, as they become distorted whenever the humidifier is running. Since the purifier produces a constant stream of clean but very dry air, it’s perfectly reasonable to want to use it alongside a humidifier. Unfortunately, the machine isn’t able to distinguish water vapour from actual pollution, making the two difficult to use together. I regard this as a major flaw in the design of the machine itself. I was also extremely disappointed with the order fulfilment. When I placed my order, the website stated “Get it next day”, but in reality it took a week and a half to arrive. The order wasn’t even dispatched the day after I placed it. Overall, I have to seriously question whether this product is worth the price. If more than 14 days hadn’t passed since I received the product, I would return it without hesitation and instead buy a traditional metal fan together with a separate air purifier. Based on my experience, that combination would provide significantly better cooling performance while still delivering the air purification I was looking for.

Expensive Fan
Bought as a gift. Disappointed that: 1.There were no instructions on how to operate it. 2. The review I read suggested that the remote could be attached magnetically to the fan. AS it's plastic, this doesn't seem possible. 3. Being plastic, it doesn't look as thought it's worth the very expensive price tag.

Excellent features & Cooling.
Absolutely brilliant! Remote control, makes turning the machine on & off easy, plus I can also control extra setting on 'My Dyson App.' The machine is excellent quality, well made & a trusted brand. It's sensative to air changes and picks up the air quality and adjusts with the HEPA filter giving me clean fresh air, it draws the air in cools & purifies it then blows itcin a 'quiet' continuous stream. It has an on-board display so you csn see air quality at a glance. It is cooling & I left it on the slerp mode, you can choose how long you want it on for 39 mns upt Eight hours, slerp mode is extremely quiet with the on board screen dimmed and a steady stream of cool air circulated around the room kerping you fresh & cool...But NOT cold! Itcoscillates too & has different rotations half or a full 180 degrees, the choice is yours. Control from the remote or your phone. I love it and would recommend it! Worth the money.

Well-designed iconic Dyson tower cooling fan.
Reasonably quiet even at the highest speed. Easy to set up airflow and oscillation. Neat and intuitive hand-held control with, conveniently attached to the unit with magnetism. Quite awkward to move it as lifting it from the bottom is recommended. Registration of the product was straightforward.
