About this product
Battery gone flat because the car's been sitting on the drive for weeks? This smart charger works out what your battery needs and delivers the right charge automatically. It handles 6V and 12V lead acid and gel batteries, including stopstart systems, so it'll suit most petrol cars up to 1800cc and diesels up to 1400cc. The LED display shows you what's happening, and it won't let you connect it backwards or short anything out. Water and dust resistant casing means you can use it in the garage without worrying about the weather getting in.
The built-in microprocessor senses your battery's condition and adjusts the current and voltage to match what it needs. Suitable for 12V batteries up to 100Ah capacity. Works with stopstart batteries fitted to newer cars. Reverse polarity indicator stops you damaging anything if you clip it on the wrong way round. Short circuit protection keeps everything safe during charging. Memory function picks up where it left off if the power cuts out. IP65 rating protects against water and dust. Comes with a 1 year manufacturer's guarantee.

After my 30+ year old charger gave up the ghost I purchased this as a replacement. It's a fraction of the size and gets the battery to full charge comparatively quickly. Clips are well designed and hold the battery terminals tightly, whereas my old one they had to be very carefully attached to prevent pinging off. Only thing missing is a gauge to tell you how far off the battery is from full charge.

Bought to charge the battery on my motorbike - needed something that had some level of waterproofing. Really pleased to find out that it comes with the wiring loom to install in the bike to connect the charger without needing to remove the saddle each time.

Yes, this can be used to charge the 12V auxiliary battery in hybrid cars. It won't, however, be able to charge the hybrid battery as this requires a different type of charger.

Sure this is incorrect info Ive perched one today and by no means can you expect to charge a battery without it been plugged in false info and will be returning it unless you have some information that im not understand thanks

The supplier has advised that the maximum engine size is 1800cc for a petrol. It is not suitable to use with a 2000cc engine.

This charger has a power lead to the unit of 1.8 meters and from the unit to the battery the lead is also 1.6 Meters.
