About this product
Block out unwanted light completely with this blackout roller blind that gives you total darkness whenever needed. The crisp white fabric has a metallic silver backing that blocks light from streetlamps, passing cars, and early morning sun, so you can enjoy a lie-in or nap undisturbed. Designed for a 4ft window, it comes with fixtures and fittings included, so you have everything to install it. The mechanism fits either side to suit your space, and you can easily trim the blind if it's slightly too wide for your window recess.
The chain mechanism is made from durable plastic with a sturdy bottom rail that keeps the blind hanging straight and smooth. It fits inside or outside your window recess or directly to the wall, offering flexible installation. The blind includes a P clip to keep the chain secure and out of reach for child safety. Tested to meet 2014 blind safety standards, it's safe for your home. Creases from packaging drop out naturally after 48 hours, and it's easy to clean with a quick wipe. Always fit P clips or cleats to keep cords and chains secure and out of reach.

Bought this to replace my previous blind and to be honest I thought it was flimsy, the metal roller bar was very thin, the attachments kept falling every time I tried to fit it into the wall brackets. I wouldn’t buy one of these again.

I bought the 60cm blind to fit onto the back of a glass panel internal door to block light coming into a bedroom. It was easy to fit and just about covers the glass. I found this blind was a quick and economical solution. The blind itself works well, but feels quite thin and fragile. I would recommend it's good value for the low price paid.

The Argos Home Blackout Black Roller Blind - 60cm (708/4971) can be significantly trimmed in width to fit smaller windows, often up to 10–14 cm or more in total, as long as the fabric does not catch on the mechanism. The aluminum roller tube and fabric can be cut using a hacksaw and sharp scissors.

The width measurement includes both the fabric width and the brackets.
The allowance for the brackets is 3cm in total and the blind requires 19mm fittings.
For the actual width of the blind, please subtract 3cm.
The item is supplied with 4 standard 30mm screws.
