Just what I needed.
I bought this TV to replace my old Panasonic 50" TV. It didn't owe me anything it was probably approaching 20 years old, of course the prices have gone down so much in the interim I could afford a bigger set and this Samsung TV was on special offer and available for next day delivery - it goes without saying that it is better than the old one simply because of the passage of time! Smarter, more connectivity (three HDMI + USB) and a better picture. I do appreciate that there are "better" (and way more expensive) options in the market place, but honestly i think you have to be the visual equivalent of a hi-fi nut to actually see any great difference in picture quality. Set up isn't too bad - all manufacturers want to show off how clever their product is, but I really just wanted to watch through my EE Box and utilise the built in USB playback options. It is possible to do that without having a computer science degree so I'll give it a pass on set up. As far as I can see (without the audio-visual nut hat on) the picture is excellent, The set is near to a window but doesn't suffer from glare against occasional brightness (it does have an automatic adjustment built in) and the effective viewing angle is way better than my old TV (again, one would expect that, but it's still nice to have.) The picture works well in all light conditions and you get a proper immersive experience whether with sport or movies. Resolution and sound is equally fine (I used to have a sound bar - I haven't connected it because it isn't needed. I am, of course, aware that I haven't compared this set to the £1,000 + similar sized TVs on the market but I am very happy with what I have and delighted with the price. Additionally here are a lot of new entrants to the TV market at the moment, and they may be fine but I was also more comfortable with a name that I knew - I have seen very good reviews of those sets from those new entrants, but they are interspersed with horror stories that suggest you could get a lemon. Generally speaking there aren't the extremes with Samsung so I was more comfortable with that manufacturer. So - a good purchase that meant I didn't wait for ages to get my TV back!

Setting up the PS5 for the best performance:
Plug in: Connect your PS5 to any of the TV's HDMI ports using the ultra-high-speed HDMI cable that came with the console.

Our supplier has advised that the Samsung 58 Inch UE58U8000FK Smart 4K UHD HDR LED TV is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S22 phone via Smart View / screen mirroring. Both devices just need to be connected to the same WiFi network.
Please note that a wired USB-C to HDMI connection is not supported.
