I had to replace my old Samsung which I had for many trouble free years so I thought I would stick with Samsung as I found them to be reliable. The new TV has a good picture but I would have preferred a larger remote as I have large fingers and catch more than 1 button sometimes. We don't have Internet so it was tricky setting it up as you don't get manuals now.

"The Samsung UE50U8000FK supports the RTÉ Player app, which is available for download through the Samsung Smart Hub in the Republic of Ireland. This allows users to stream RTÉ content directly over the internet.
Please note that live RTÉ broadcast channels (such as RTÉ One, RTÉ2, etc.) can only be received via Saorview, Ireland’s free-to-air digital terrestrial television service, when the TV is connected to an appropriate aerial and located within a Saorview coverage area."
