Perfect for Xbox series s
Absolutely amazing monitor and far exceeded my expectations. I bought this primarily to use in a caravan with an Xbox Series S and genuinely wasn’t sure what to expect, but it works perfectly for this purpose. It even runs directly from the console without any external power source — I simply used a USB-C to USB-A cable plugged into the Xbox USB port and it powered the monitor with no issues at all. Picture quality is excellent and the Full HD 1080p resolution looks really sharp on a screen this size. The brightness is also surprisingly good despite only being rated at 250 nits. I was using it beside a bright window in full daylight and still had no problems seeing the screen clearly. Another huge plus is the portability. It’s incredibly slim, lightweight and compact, making it perfect for caravans, travel, gaming in bed or moving around the house. The built-in stand is also much better and sturdier than I expected. The speakers are probably the only weak point, but they’re still decent enough for casual use, and realistically most gaming will either be with a headset or at lower volume in the evening anyway. It also includes the Mini HDMI to HDMI cable in the box, so it’s literally plug-and-play with a console. For reference, my main TV at home is an LG C4 65", so for this little monitor to genuinely impress me says a lot. Overall, an excellent buy and I would 100% recommend it.

Good Performance, Connectivity and Light
Works really well, powered up and video with the USB-C cable provided. There's also a DVI cable in the box if you need it. A simple fold out stand on the back works really well. Brightness is really good. The resolution is less than my laptop but not an issue, it's useful enough just to have that extra space of you desktop. Perfect if you work hybrid.

Can work with Chromecast if you take extra steps
Despite the Q&A section, this can work with a Chromecast if you have a hdmi to mini hdmi cable. The speakers are very poor, so you'd need separate ones though, and the trouble with this is that some streaming platforms have heavy DRM restrictions so Bluetooth speakers will stop you from watching. You would need to get an audio extractor and plug a speaker in via a jack cable to get it all to work. Aside from this, the screen quality is good and it's very portable.

Very Very Good! - Lots of benefits
The screen is fab, I shopped around for a while but for the price, size, portability it is incredible. Brightness is good enough for the price and quality / aesthetic is great - the stand is really top tier too - has a screw hole and a lot of ways to prop it up. Such an easy to use product and comes with a little case!

This depends on the USB port on your computer. If the USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt, the MSI PRO MP161 E2U can be powered and display video using a single USB-C cable.
