Wouldn't say it was particularly quiet (noisier than our desk top fans) but it is quite powerful and putting a deep-frozen water bottle in front of it to cool the air is a good tip. Like having the remote so you switch it off from bed

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Bush Digital Grey Tower Fan.
Instruction manual provides these cleaning instructions.
Always turn off and unplug the fan from the mains supply before cleaning.
Use only a soft slightly damp cloth followed by a dry cloth, to gently wipe the outer surfaces on the fan to clean.
Do not try to remove the fan grill. To clean between the bars, it is recommended using a vacuum cleaner or compressed air to gently remove the dust.
