Very good bed - great value
I bought this a month ago for my new room. It was difficult to assemble by myself so I would suggest doing it with someone else! It comes in a lot of pieces so easier with a lot of space and took about 4 hours to build but it was great quality and the instructions were easy to follow. Their wasn’t much wood glue but given how the bed assembles it didn’t seem totally necessary.

Only 3 stars for the price - it's a 2 star product
The sides of this are very flimsy, with not all pieces - e.g. bars in the headboard - fitting snugly together, despite how good you might be at flat-pack furniture. (Gaps remained visible, whatever I did.) When attaching the slatted frame to the hydraulic arms there is also too much wiggle room - and zero guidance - in terms of where that frame can be fastened... which might mean (like it did for me) that when you finish and close the bed, the positioning is slightly out. In my case the frame crunched through, and broke, one of the sides. I'd be surprised if I'm the only person this has happened to! When assembled - and breakage hidden - the bed looks smart enough (as long as you don't look too close). But it feels cheap - which it is. A definite case of 'You get what you pay for.'

Worst furniture purchase I’ve made. Do not buy.
Aspire Atlantic king-size end-lift ottoman bed. After unpacking and checking the parts, multiple items were missing. Aspire then ignored our email and we had to chase by phone. They promised replacement parts on Thursday (giving a delivery window of 8am–6pm) so I took time off work, but nothing arrived. The missing parts then turned up Friday and were STILL incomplete (headboard should have 10 pieces, only 1 supplied). We tried assembling anyway due to urgency, only to discover the bed contains a mixture of king and super king parts (including structural components), meaning the bed cannot be assembled because the fittings don’t align. We had to disassemble everything mid-build. Huge waste of time and we’ve been left without a bed for over 2 weeks. Avoid!

This has a fabric base under the ottoman part of the bed. There isn't a cover that goes on top of the items you are placing under the ottoman.

Our supplier has advised that the Aspire Atlantic Double End Lift Ottoman Bed has a gap of 65mm between the slats. The measurement is the same for the single bed however for the King & Super-king- The gap between slats should be 71mm.
