About this product
Unwelcome visitors through the cat flap can be stressful for your cat and disruptive for you. This SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap uses your cat's existing microchip as an electronic door key to keep intruder animals out without needing a collar. Battery powered setup works with all microchips and stores up to 32 cats. Suitable for small, medium and large cats with a max shoulder width of 14cm, it fits into glass, wood and most PVC doors or windows as a drop-in replacement.
The one-button setup means programming is straightforward without complicated instructions. The manual locking system switches between in, out, opened and locked positions to give you control over access times. Microchip recognition ensures only your registered pets can enter, which helps reduce tension in multi-cat households or areas with neighbourhood strays. The plastic construction wipes clean and the 3 year manufacturer's guarantee covers long-term use.

Great for cats who won’t wear a collar.
This was purchased to allow my cat access to our property and to prevent access to another visitor who has also been coming into our home. We had set up an infra red camera to discover another cat accessing the house via the cat flap. My cat would not wear a collar, so this microchip cat flap is a brilliant solution. It is easy to set up, well very easy, and has worked perfectly. It fitted into the patio door, in the same place as the previous cat flap, with no adjustments required. Two screws and it was fitted! After instillation, we kept the infra red camera set and and the following evening captured our cat using the cat flap and the intruder not gaining access. A brilliant invention, and a great product thus far.

Renewed security
Cat flap was installed today - a replacement for a previous SureFlap which lasted many years. Hoping for the same longevity this time. My cat has found no problems and with clearer vision with a new flap has spent ages looking through his personal window! Has kept another intruder cat out now the cat flap has recognised my cat’s microchip- excellent result.

Excellent product, good value for money too.
it's the first time we've had a microchip cat flap and it works very well. It was fitted for us by the chaps who were replacing our windows at the time, but seemed easy for them to do. Cole took a day or so to get used to it but now he's fine and he's in and out of it all the time :) Easy to wipe clean when necessary too.

Perrrrfect cat flap
Ive had this same model for around 10 years and it worked perfectly. Easy to program and in that time we've had around 4 different cats. Only reason we got a new one is because we got a new door and it just made sense to also get a new cat flap.

Money saver
Very happy with cat flap. Very secure and stops Frank getting in and eating Gilbert's food. Saving lots of money !

Straightforward to fit and program.
This was a straight swap for an older version which finally died recently. As it was the same size, fitting was very easy, and it's working fine. Easy to program and use.

Hello Anna,
The supplier has advised the following for the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap:
Unfortunately, with the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap you cannot set a cat as “indoor only.” The flap can only be set to either allow all registered cats to go in and out, or to lock access for all cats.
If you would like to keep one cat indoors while allowing other cats to go in and out freely, you would need either the SureFlap DualScan Microchip Cat Flap or the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap Connect with Hub, as these models allow you to control exits permissions for individual cats.
Thank you for using Q and A.
Hello Mich,
The supplier has advised the following for the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap:
Although the model has changed, the installation dimensions and accessories remain the same, so there is no need for them to be replaced.

Hello Daisy.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap.
When you put the cat flap into scan mode to register the microchip by pressing the Add Pet button, the light begins to flash and the grey catch drops down. As soon as the cat passes through the flap, the microchip is registered. The light then stops flashing and the catch pops back up.
Thank you for using Q & A.

Hey Clarky,
I can advise that the catflap will unlock when the cat is close enough that the flap can read it's microchip.
