Good starting set
Great set, will be easy to upgrade when needed to add mlre weights. Grip can be a but painful on hands but you just need workout gloves.

Pretty good
Bought as a gift for someone, they are quite good, pretty much what I expected and the person I got them for was happy. The only slight issue was the handles are quite rough, I'd bought a similar set before and there was a plastic cover but the grip here is cut straight into the metal and as a result a small burr was present on one which was fixed easily enough but as I said a bit rough on the hands.

Nice variable weights but handles are small
Bought these when they were on offer as my other set had becomes too light for me. The ability to vary the amount of weight on each bar is great as you don't need to immediately jump to a weight that you might not be ready for. One downside is that the handle is a lot smaller than on others like my previous pair so i've had to modify it by butting some grip-able material around the handle to both make it slip less and add some circumference - gym gloves would also work if you're more committed to weight lifting than I am.

Great
I really like them. The only downsides are that the coating peels a little bit, and the spin locks come a little bit loose sometimes so that I have to tighten them between sets.

Push the iron
Weights are good quality. Bars and weights can be quickly interchanged. Cool black colour as well.

Features
I bought these approx 6 months ago, on first use I had to use a set of mole grips and a hammer to do one of the the quick release nuts on as it was so hard. Since I managed this they have been used daily and are ok

Hello Lou Lou,
I can advise the following for the Opti Cast Iron Dumbbell Set - 20kg:
They are designed to be used with the bar, but could be used individually if you are safe with them. They are 0.5, 1.25,2.5kgs and you get 4 of each.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Ive been using this set for a couple of years now. Its possible to fit most but not all of the provided weights onto one bar. If you leave off two of the 0.5 kg weights, you have a 17.5 kg dumbbell, but there is no safety margin if the locks work loose, which can happen. Its best to leave off all four 0.5 kg weights giving you a 16.5 kg max with one dumbbell. After using these for several months, I opted to get the add-on set of four 5kg weights so I could make two 20kg dumbells.
