Dimmable lamps.
i bought 2 of these for my bedroom. I had to go to Ikea for bulbs as Argos dont sell them i then had to return to Ikea as the were'nt dimmable ones.Ordered from Amazon in the end. Would have been easier if Argos stocked the bulb's for the lamps that they were selling.

Just The Job
We had a blackout blind installed in the bedroom so we couldn't see anything when it was closed. This is ideal for feeling out and it comes on. Remember to buy a bulb.

As a low power on 1st setting it is like a candle an ideal sidelight with the tv, then when you need more light a touch takes you to mid then bright settings.

I bought this for my elderly mother. Nice little light, perfect for the bedroom but.............. the recommended bulb in the info provided in the online description and Q&A's is G9 led halogen. On the box containing the light it says G9 led, no mention of halogen! So we got a G9 led suitable for dimming lights and guess what, the light works on the first 2 settings but flashes like mad on the 3rd so has to be switched off! We now can't return the bulb so what a waste. Argos, why does your information differ about the bulb, surely the info should be the same online and on the product box????? We have kept the light but will need a new bulb

Not Good Enough Argos
The lamp was OK but came without a bulb, and surprisingly, Argos did not sell it. Looking around for the bulbs seemed to indicate that they were sold in sixes, but I also noted that the tungsten version for the lamp was being withdrawn in favour of an LED type, which the lamp would not accept. The lamp was returned to the store and a different one bought.

Stylish little lamp
The lamp is attractive and the dimmer feature is very useful. I would have liked a bulb to have been included in the package as I had to wait a couple of days to get some. Very good value for money t it takes only a small space on bedside table.

"For this touch‑activated lamp: if the lamp is switched on at the touch base first, then a smart plug can turn it on and off normally. However, if the lamp is off at the touch base, it will not switch on through the smart plug and will need to be touched manually."

Having checked I can see the glass is placed on the base with the screw cap over using the shade tool to help screw it into place then the bulb is fitted. Please see instruction below:

Black, and how I wish Id noticed that in the reviews. The black cable is UGLY, and spoils the whole look of what is a lovely lamp.
Yet I noted that it had to be a Halogen bulb to work as a dimmer, so had purchased the bulbs in my local hardware store before collecting the lamp.
