About this product
The Marcy BE1000 starter workout weight bench supports your weight training from day one. It's built for beginners starting their fitness journey at home. The adjustable back pad switches between incline, flat and decline positions. That means you can train different chest angles without extra equipment. There's a fixed barbell rack suitable for 5ft barbells. It handles your lifting sessions safely. The powder-coated steel framework supports users up to 21 stone comfortably.
The preacher pad adjusts to 3 heights for focused bicep work. A leg developer targets quads and hamstrings efficiently. Both attachments take standard 1 inch weight plates. The thick upholstery provides back support during longer sessions. Two storage posts keep your weight plates organised between sets. Angled barbell catchers make returning the barbell safe and straightforward. The rack positions wide enough for mid-width chest press form. It's designed to build strength and confidence as your fitness improves.

Great bench
Had the same one for about 3 years but had to sell it because of moving. Bought it again and it really is a great bench. I use Olympic bar and the bench stays strong.

Easy to put together and solid to use. Allows me to do weights safer than just doing on the floor and without having to pay for a gym fee. Happy days

very poor design
this bench is not worth the money, i am 6 2 and when i lie on the bench to benchpress, my toes/feet barley touch the ground, when you lie back on the bench your head will hit off the weight bar, and that is even with it lowered right down. so you got no chance with it on full incline, also the bicep curl pad is too narrow and no padding, so when you curl weight your chest digs into edge of the arm pad . shocking poor design, when i had one of their original benches before this and it lasted 20yrs. dont waste your money on this.

Well made but if youre over 5 ft 10 its difficult
I got this only after xmas sale as it was over priced. £50 off RRP I didnt put on arm curl Theres not much space if youre over 5ft ten Your head bangs bar even if flat as u go backwards to bench press. On incline youll have your bar touch your throat or forehead. Even though its study & bar holder width is fixed if you prefer a shorter bench grip you have no choice. Its wide or v short tricep grip. The leg ext is ok but you need thin metal weights as the height of them reduces as you fill up bar so my plastic discs are thick & only 30kg go on. Its better made than cheaper ones but if arm pad was in theres no much space when u bench

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Marcy BE1000 Adjustable Starter Workout Weight Bench: I can confirm that the Leg extension does have a full range of movement as the Arm curl handle and the Arm curl pad are removable.

The Marcy BE1000 Adjustable Starter Workout Weight Bench can hold 1 inch standard plates. I believe Opti weight plates have a 1 inch diameter hole so these should be compatible.
