This beech effect display cabinet has 2 glass doors with attractive silver coloured handles. A stylish way to present your decorative items, this cabinet is a fantastic addition to your home.
The pristine glass doors keep the dust of your dishes, the particles off your plateware, and prevent clumsy kitties from knocking things off. The accessible foot-switch makes it easy to turn the light on and off. LED spot light. All glass parts are made of tempered/safety glass. Maximum load weight per shelf is 5kg.

Great product
An excellent display cabinet as described and was easy to assemble. We did it on a table so it was the right height to work on. Two people are needed to assemble safety but it was very straightforward. We have had one for a few years now and we’re so satisfied with the display cabinet we have just bought another one to match it on the opposite wall. It’s just the job to store and show of your previous items particularly glasses and crystal. We would recommend it.

Good looking cabinet
Package was very heavy! I found it needed 2 people to assemble as great care needed with glass. Had a minor blemish on silver coloured wood part, but thankfully it can't be seen - I had thought silver spray paint might have been required. Looks good and displayed items can be seen well. LED light can be positioned where you want on ceiling of cabinet, bearing in mind the wire is black rather than silver, so can be seen.

Great cabinet
I bought this cabinet to store my Lego technic car models in, the shelves are big enough to hold one larger model, but will hold 2+ smaller models, probably several speed champs. It is easy to assemble, I like the light in the top with the mirrored back, makes it look good especially in low light.

Stylish and elegant
We bought 2 of these cabinets for our small craft cooperative. They improved the overall look of the shop and are an asset. We left the doors on the one with the expensive jewellery in it, but removed them for the felt artist, whose work people need to touch. The only problem we found was the metal rod which holds the middle shelf and acts as a brace. They are not easy to install and have fallen out on several occasions when moving items around on the shelves.

Good quality product that does the job. A reasonable price and looks very nice when assembled. Putting in the shelves can be fiddly at times, so be careful, as I nearly smashed one of the glass shelves while putting it in. There was also a misprint in the instructions, which made it harder to assemble, but not impossible. The instruction asked me to put a screw into a hole after I had already put on another piece that covered said hole. Overall, I would recommend.

The mirror on the back panel is already attached by glue tape. So, to take the mirror off and to remove the glue tape is not easy. There is a high chance the back panel could get scratched/damaged if you tried to remove it.

you can use the cabinet without the feet.
The cabinet feet are only an optical detail of the product.
Theoretically, other feet (provided they are stable) or no feet at all could also be used.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for Argos Home 2 Door Glass Display Cabinet - Black.
There are no pre-drilled holes, allowing you to position the LED wherever you prefer. Some customers place it in the middle of the top shelf, while others position it further forward or at the back of the display cabinet.
Ultimately, the choice of LED placement is up to you.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home 2 Door Glass Display Cabinet: The glass shelves have been tested with far more than 5KG and have always passed all load tests.
The problem is, that we don't know whether the customer is placing a 10 kg narrow cylindrical stone in the centre of the glass shelf (this could bend the glass base too much),
or whether the customer is placing several medium-heavy objects on the glass shelf adding up to more than 5KG (this is not a problem).
It is therefore difficult for a manufacturer to specify a maximum load limit for the glass shelves.
In this respect, we prefer to specify too little, such as 5kg.

“ This comes with a wall attachment, as with all our display cabinets. So you can fix the cabinet to the wall after assembling. There no holes in the back of the cabinet, but you receive hardware to fix the cabinet to the wall as shown in the instruction sheet. ”

What fixings should be used?
Thank You. It is however recommended to attach to the wall due to the height. What fixing should be used to do this as it has a glass back? It needs to be safe as using in an elderly home.
