About this product
This Argos Home Display Cupboard gives you a spot to show off your favourite decorative pieces while keeping them safe from dust and pets. It has two glass doors with silver handles, four adjustable shelves, and a mirrored back panel that reflects light and adds depth. Tempered safety glass protects items and keeps them visible from every angle. An integrated LED spotlight highlights your collection, with a foot-switch at the base to turn it on and off without reaching. Each shelf holds up to five kilogrammes, enough for plates, ornaments or glassware.
The adjustable shelves let you create the right spacing for taller vases or smaller trinkets, so you're not stuck with fixed heights. The mirrored back panel bounces light around and makes displayed items stand out. Silver handles match modern and traditional interiors without clashing. The cupboard's tall and narrow, so it fits into hallways, dining rooms, or alcoves without taking up much floor space. Self-assembly required with two people recommended. Lovely cabinet and easy to build
This is my 2nd order of the same cabinet. It had been out of stock for a while and pleased when came back into stock. Easy to put together but does require 2 people to make updue to majority of cabinet been glass and the box it arrives in is extremely heavy and long. The cabinet did arrive with a 2 pin plug so had to order a uk pin plug but was easy enough to do from argos spares online and was free of charge and arrived quickly. Our first cabinet arrived with the correct plug so unsure if one off or if this new batch is supplied with 2 pin. Light is easy enough to use and attach within the cabinet and like how can link other cabinet lights off the one plug if required.

Great display unit
We purchased this item about 3 weeks ago, it was a heavy box but the delivery man treated it as if it weighed nothing, very good efficient service. The unit itself was surprisingly very well made and the instructions clear on concise, it took two of us to complete the build and once secured to one wall it looks very well and displays our items nicely.

Good quality
We were waiting for about 3 months for this display cabinet to be back in stock and, finally, it was. The package was very heavy so be aware of that when being unpacked. All items were checked and, although both glass doors were wrapped in cellophane they were slight marks on either end which were small scratches on closer inspection but not a major concern. It took me about 4 hours to complete the assembly but, apart from one of the base foot had to be glued on due to a misaligned screw hole the rest of the frame was solid. The LED light was a bonus and operated by your foot. All hinges were securely fastened with no adjustment needed. On the whole it was a good purchase.

The backpanel and the front post of the cabinet have some extra holes for the shelf supports, so that you are able to change the distance between the shelves.''

The mirror on the back panel is already attached by glue tape. So, to take the mirror off and to remove the glue tape is not easy. There is a high chance the back panel could get scratched/damaged if you tried to remove it.

you can use the cabinet without the feet.
The cabinet feet are only an optical detail of the product.
Theoretically, other feet (provided they are stable) or no feet at all could also be used.

There are no pre-drilled holes, allowing you to position the LED wherever you prefer. Some customers place it in the middle of the top shelf, while others position it further forward or at the back of the display cabinet.
Ultimately, the choice of LED placement is up to you.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home 2 Door Glass Display Cabinet: The glass shelves have been tested with far more than 5KG and have always passed all load tests.
The problem is, that we don't know whether the customer is placing a 10 kg narrow cylindrical stone in the centre of the glass shelf (this could bend the glass base too much),
or whether the customer is placing several medium-heavy objects on the glass shelf adding up to more than 5KG (this is not a problem).
It is therefore difficult for a manufacturer to specify a maximum load limit for the glass shelves.
In this respect, we prefer to specify too little, such as 5kg.
