About this product
Some cats prefer a private spot when nature calls, somewhere enclosed that feels secure. This front opening bonneted litter tray gives them that covered space while keeping scattered litter contained. The bonnet reduces tracking across floors and the front entry makes getting in and out straightforward for cats who like a bit of privacy. Suitable for cats of different sizes, the neutral grey fits into any room without standing out.
The bonneted design stops litter flying out during enthusiastic digging sessions, which cuts down on floor sweeping. Front access means no awkward climbing over high sides, so it works for older cats or those with mobility concerns. The smooth plastic wipes clean quickly between litter changes. And the generous dimensions at 40cm high, 38.5cm wide and 48.5cm deep provide enough space for cats to turn around comfortably inside.

Customers Say
This cat litter tray is spacious, easy to clean, and generally liked by cats for privacy. However, many users report issues with the flimsy door flap not sealing well, causing odor and litter escape.

Poorly made
Just like all Argos product it’s poorly made, probably designed by 11 year olds in a manufacturing class at the local secondary school, I’m sure it will break within 6 months of purchase

Good product, nice size. Slightly smaller than the usual littler box which means using less litter !

Door hangs open
I keep buying litter trays in the hope of finding one that has a swinging door that actually fits. Unfortunately this one doesn’t. The hinged door has a huge gap of around two inches when closed which means it smells and all the litter gets kicked everywhere. It’s so useless to have a charcoal pad on the ventilation panel at the top if the door doesn’t shut! So basically it smells and there is nothing to stop the litter getting out.

Good. Cat litter boxes.
I bought two for my indoor cats. Brilliant, no dust spread over my home. The cats love the privacy they give compared to the uncovered kind.

Good size.
I have a rescue cat who gets very excited going to the bathroom. Nice big size, plenty of room for her to do her business. I kept the door off because as she is a rescue she would feel trapped. Good that the filter flap lifts up cause you just need to lift that up to clean.

Worst
It was broken after a month. Don't waste your money.

Good design and good value
This has a different design to many others, much deeper which helps retain litter when the cat is energetically covering up. Clips which attach lid to base are a little bit brittle and need to be closed firmly, otherwise this is an excellent product at a reasonable price.

Hi Cat lady,
Thanks for your query about the Front Opening Litter Tray.
Apart from the cat flap at the front, it has no specific waste removal flap. The entire top can be removed though for access to remove waste.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Eileenmac,
A kitten may be too small and will struggle to get over the lip and into the box.
Thanks for using Q&A,
My cat is about 5.5kgs and fits comfortably in it.
Hi Linda,

We can only give you the dimensions for this which are as follows:
H40cm, W38.5cm, D48.5cm.

Hi Jungle,
The Front Opening Litter Tray measures 20cm from the floor to the bottom of the door opening.
Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
It doesn’t help at all, the front is angled and the door hangs straight down leaving a 2 inch opening so it’s pretty pointless having the door at all.
Returned mine today.
Hi Danielle,
This will help keep smells to a minimum.
Thanks for using Argos Q&A.
