About this product
The Forest 4Life Overlap Pressure Treated 8x6 Apex Shed with no windows is an excellent storage solution. This wooden shed comes with an improved design, featuring fully modular panels. This means it's delivered in smaller sections but you get more wood, making for an easier assembly, more versatile configuration and a much stronger shed. All in all, the Forest 4Life range of sheds are the best overlap sheds we've ever made.
Wooden sheds, like this one, come supplied with a floor but still need to be built on a strong, level base such as concrete, paving slabs or tarmac. This base is not supplied. Do not place directly onto a base of grass, sand, earth etc. As natural movement will affect stability, reduce lifespan, cause the door(s) to warp and encourage rot.
The double doors feature strong Z framing to give them added strength and the hidden hinges provide extra security for the workshop. The door can also be secured with an additional padlock (not included) through the hasp and staple fastening.
The Pressure Treated solid boarded floor is strong and sturdy, meaning it can bear more weight - ideal for storing heavier items such as lawn mowers or bags of compost.

Customers Say
The shed offers good value and decent quality for the price, with a solid floor and roof. Assembly is a two-person job and can be tricky due to unclear instructions and warped or damaged wood. Some gaps require sealing for weatherproofing.

Size as described few issues
I bought this A few weeks ago and got it up , the instructions wasn’t clear at all so just had to work it out for myself with the wood I had , doesn’t go together fully had to do some ajustments myself , one of the planks of wood had half rotten so couldn’t use it had to buy another plank. ,shockingly since erecting we haven’t had any rain as yet so unable to comment on the weather durability, however for my own sanity I have sealed all the gaps with a good weather sealant.

It’s a shed
Bought this shed a month ago. Lots of pieces so follow instructions very carefully, it took 2 reasonably competent diy’ers best part of a day and half to put up as nothing seemed to align. The door and roof panels were particularly awkward to fit properly. I have used sealant to fill some of the gaps between the panels to try and weatherproof the shed a little better. Overall it’s a shed, don’t think it’ll last more than a few years and when I need another one I’ll pay someone to put it up and save myself some hassle.

Not Great
Would not recommend buying this shed. Deliveey time was five weeks, not two as stated when we ordered it. Instructions are confusing, pieces were missing and had to wait for these to be sent, roof does not fit on properly. Had to get a carpenter to come and assemble in the end as pieces didn't fit together which was obviously an additional cost to us as there were extra materials to purchase of which Argos would not refund the cost. Do not waste your time or money.

If you listen to the video, he says, as its pressure treated it means under normal conditions you wont need to retreat it saving over 150 pounds.
Hi Jimmy
We asked the supplier about this for you.
Pressure treatment is the treatment that protects the product from rotting.
Pressure treatment is not a water resistant/ water repellent treatment which is why we also recommend a water resistant treatment also
Thanks for using Q & A
Hello there,
I have spoken to our supplier who have advised as follows:
The Forest Wooden 8 x 6ft Overlap Windowless Apex Shed board thickness is 14 mm.
Thank you for using Q and A.
tradebob, the internal dimensions of the 8x6 are 1770 x 2304mm.
Froggy, the Forest range of Modular Sheds are sectional and will take 3-4 hours to assembly by reasonable DIYers. This will not include preparing the base.
The small print
All sheds need to be placed and secured on a base; this can be concrete, patio slabs or wood. Putting your shed directly on the ground wouldn't be safe and would decrease the lifespan of your shed.
