Its CeraGlide ceramic soleplate glides smoothly over fabrics, while the powerful 2400W element heats up in just 30 seconds. With 40g constant steam and a 180g steam shot, it makes quick work of stubborn creases in everything from delicate blouses to heavy denim.

Simple and easy.
I'm very pleased with this product. I don't have much ironing, just a few shirts, but this iron is easier to use because it's cordless. It's quite light, and retains heat. I return it to the recharging dock between each use. Placing the iron in the dock is easy.

Does what it says on the box!!
Have used several times and a great iron! Heats up very quickly and is useful for when a cord gets in the way, such as using the iron for a quick item press on the bed, rather than taking out the ironing board!! Haven’t found anything negative, and for a person that detests ironing, this is doing the job quickly and efficiently without any fuss or bother. I use both features of corded and non corded depending on how big the ironing pile is. Definitely worth the money so I say a great choice!!

I can advise that the Tower T22008 2-in-1 Steam Iron does not have an auto off function. It will, however, turn itself off when the battery is depleted when using it in the cordless mode.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Tower T22008 2-in-1 Steam Iron: ''Please be advised that the Tower T22008 Ceraglide Iron does not contain a traditional rechargeable battery as it does not hold a lengthy charge like other household appliances.
Plug the iron in, then rotate the dial and the indicator light on the body of the iron will illuminate to show the iron is heating and will turn off once it has reached the optimum temperature.
When the iron needs to reheat, place it back onto the base and the indicator light will illuminate to show it is heating up again. It only takes a few seconds for the iron to heat to the required setting in between each use.''

Yes it can be. The iron has a plug which heat iron and unit. Once hot you can remove the iron and use it on its own.

Regarding the Tower T22008 2-in-1 Steam Iron.
This product is only designed to be used intermittently as a cordless iron and should be placed back onto the charging pod in between each use.
The length of time the cordless function would last depends on the usage and we wouldn't be able to quantify this as there are too many variables to consider
