Good looking hob
This was delivered on Fri so minimal opportunities to use it as yet. However, my first impressions are that the instruction booklet is not very clear. It seems easy to use. I am a trial and error type of person so found it relatively easy just using common sense. It appears slow compared to my old Trinity hob but perhaps I will discover how to speed it up.

Easy to use good looking hob
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first Hisense hob 3 years ago used it almost daily and was very happy with it. The new model became available and was glad to have the opportunity to test the new hob for the past two weeks. The installation was easy as we previously had induction but even the first time it did not take much time. The hob needs a main connection, that would be the only challenge for someone installing it for the first time. The first improvement I noticed was that the new hob has a timer and is perfect for something that needs to simmer for a set number of minutes. They also added the connection zone which I tried and was impressed on how uniform the food was cooked. The hob is very easy to clean and maintain. The controls are all in the front for easier access and they also can be locked so no one can power it by mistake. Overall, I’m very pleased with the new model. The only con would be the noise which during the day is fine but at night it can be a bit loud. I already recommended the hob to my friends and will continue to do so!

Lovely looking and easy to clean Induction Hob
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was asked to review this product by Hisense. I've had my previous Hisense Induction hob for over 3 years, which still works and looks as new. Installed easily enough as this was a 'straight swap'. Induction pans (magnetic at the base) have to be used. It's all touch control, so touch 'power' symbol to switch hob on. There's a child lock feature, which will stop small hands from turning it on. Each zone has its own settings 0-9, but 2 of the zones can be bridged to create 1 large zone which is great for a very large pan. The zone's can be set to 'rapid boil' which as it says, brings to the boil very fast. This automatically goes back to a simmer setting after a few minutes. There's a countdown timer which beeps when the required time has been reached. After using, when powered off, any zone that has been used flashes H to indicate that those zones are still hot. Obviously that ceases when they have cooled down. Positives: 1) Very nice looking hob. Easy to operate. All controls are at front centre, well away from the heating zones. 2) Efficient.. If you put a smaller pan on a larger zone, it will only heat the area of the pan. 3) Cleans very easy. Fairy liquid and a sponge, if something's spilled over. Otherwise a wipe with a microfibre cloth. Negatives: 1) A little noisier than my last Hisense Hob. 2) Zonal markings could be clearer. On my previous Hisense Hob they stand out more. For the price this a very nice and efficient induction hob. Other brands can be more expensive with less features. As I've had Hisense before, I'm quite confident that it will last. My negatives are probably being a little picky.

Easy to clean, easy to use, versatile, looks good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having recently moved home, I was keen to install an induction hob in the kitchen, to replace an aging top-of-the range gas hob, which my partner and I both found less than ideal. Installation was straightforward, but this hob does need a dedicated cooker outlet, as it can’t be used with a normal 13A socket. Luckily my new home’s electrical supply was suitable. All induction hobs with touch controls offer many advantages over other types, including this one from Hisense. More easily controllable heat, rapid warm-up, less possibility of burnt residue on the hob’s surface and a doddle to clean and keep looking like new. Not all pans work on an induction hob, but as I had used induction before, our pans all had the necessary magnetic material in their bases and are perfect for this hob, as is our enamelled cast-iron oval casserole dish. Hisense have organised the cooking areas on the hob in a practical way - the large extra fast area (right front) is ideal for a large frying pan, which heats in seconds (using the P power boost setting) ready for a sizzling steak, or used on a medium setting to gently fry or sautee other meals. The left hand areas can be combined to operate together for a fish kettle, oval casserole, or rectangular griddle. The nine power levels are sufficient for all types of cooking - from a gentle warm, to a slow simmer, through to a rapid boil or frying. In the two weeks that we’ve been using the hob, everything has been cooked to perfection, and no more burnt pans (heat up porridge to a simmer, then turn the heat down to 2 or 3, set the relevant timer to 15 minutes, and leave the hob to do its thing) The controls are sensibly grouped together at the front of the hob, far enough away from the cooking areas to avoid most spills. If liquids do spill on the controls, the hob gives an audible alarm and once the spill is wiped away, cooking can quickly resume - although the settings may be lost. The basic controls are simple to operate, and the features we need are all there (child lock, connected zone, auto-heat, extra power, separate timers for all four zones plus a minute minder), but for these features you may need to refer to the rather sketchy instructions until you’re familiar with them. There are more expensive hobs on the market, with slider controls, cooking ‘programs’ and extra features, but I can’t think of any reason why I’d need these things. There are also less expensive hobs available, which I suspect offer far less versatility. In summary, I’m delighted with the Hisense hob.
