It's a good printer, but you must print a couple of pages every week if you're not a regular user or the tubes and print head will dry up.

good idea simple to setup
Bought in the last couple of weeks, easy to set up, most devices seemed to fing and connect to it ok, awesome ink system, a bottle of ink in each colour, ideal for large print runs at sensible costs.

Canon Pixma G 3570 Mega Tank Printer
I bought the Canon Pixma G3570 Printer. Good points are that it uses Ink Tanks instead of cartridges so printing should be cheaper. An instruction booklet would be useful, rather than having to download one from the Canon website. Fairly easy to set up for basic printing and copying but I have not yet fathomed how to do double sided printing nor have I used the scanner facility yet.

I bought this Canon printer a few weeks ago to replace my HP Printer. As I have had problems with HP Printers I decided to try the Canon G3570 which had refillable ink bottles instead of the in cartridges which don’t last very long. The quality of the printing and the machine are far superior to the HP so I’m am really pleased with my purchase.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Canon PIXMA G3570 3-in-1 Wireless MegaTank Printer: This model does not print double sided automatically, the model above this one (G3590) does have Double sided printing.

It came with a set of ink bottles and they last absolutely ages.
I comes with ink. One 135ml bottle of black ink, 70ml each for the colour ink bottles.

The message that the ink absorber is almost full would relate to the maintenance cartridge, which absorbs ink used in cleaning. This specific part would then need to be replaced - not necessarily buying a new printer.
For this Canon PIXMA G3570 3-in-1 Wireless MegaTank Printer the part would be: Maintenance Cartridge MC-G04.
Full instructions on this process can be fund on page 120 of the user manual.
