Worth the Upgrade?
The PS5 Pro, what can be said about? Honestly, having owned a PS5 from close to release, it doesn't feel like much of a upgrade. The Pro is proving to be louder then the my OG PS5 in the same place. The disc drive is add-on, so adds to the already high price. At £700, I would only buy this on sale . There are some good points. Larger internal storage is great. The extra power of the system make PS4 games run smooth. Always hitting the max FPS of the games. I'm struggling to find many good points over getting a normal PS5. At the end the day, it's your choice. Do I regret getting one? Yes, even as a PlayStation fan going on 20+ years. But I wouldn't recommend getting a Pro over a Slim PS5. I would take the savings from a Slim PS5 a buy a large M.2 card to install in the console.

Games look crisper and highr frame rates
I already have a PS5 so I thought I would grab the PS5 Pro as it was on sale. Wasn't expecting much of a difference between the PS5 and the Pro but I was pleasantly surprised. Sony's PSSR upscaler let me run games at a higher frame rate. The Pro has a setting for PS4 games and you can see the extra horse power at work. I would advise you play on a decent monitor/TV that has 120hz and VRR. Consoles and computer parts are quite likely to go up in price because AI is causing a shortage in ram. This may even delay next gen consoles like PS6/Xbox. I also wanted to play GTA 6 on the best console when it comes out later this year (hopefully).

PS5 PRO brilliant machine
Bought the ps5 Pro in the sale just after Christmas and I'm absolutely so pleased I went for it. Fantastic fast performance and the graphics are superb. A lot of pro upgrade games available and a lot more coming in 2026. This will see me right for the next few years. I also got a disc drive as I like owning physical media. My favourite playstation of all time without a doubt. I'm can't wait to play GTA6 when it's realised this Nov.

UPGRADE NOW
100% worth it, got on sale on boxing day and upgraded from gen1 ps5. Night and day difference, I swear the dual sense edge makes a lot of difference too. Got a disc drive and bought a few games on disc, saved like 180 quid over the ps store getting games preowned. It depends on your game style/projected use, but for me it's been literally game changing. The 2tb ssd is how the ps5 should have been. Excellent bit of kit

I can advise the following for the PlayStation 5 Pro Digital Console:
These are USB-C and not Micro USB.

Yes it can it can also play VHS cassette LP mini disc cd laser disc and a piece of toast without margarine.
No the Disc drive which comes seperetely for the PS5 PRO can not read PS2 or PS3 Discs. It can only read DVD movie discs Blu ray movie discs, PS4 Game discs and PS5 game discs.
However playstation plus premium membership lets you stream or download some PS2 and PS3 games.

No unless you mod it

NO U DONT GET THE SMART HORIZONTAL SWIVEL STAND THING WE GOT WITH THE PS5 BUT THEY DO GIVE YOU SOME LITTLE DAFT CHEEP PLASTIC FEET THAT CLIP ON. THEY BARELY DO THE BUSINESS AKA THE JOB, SO I ADVISE SAVE YOUR PS5 SWIVEL STAND WHEN U SELL IT OR TRADE IT IN IT CLIPS ON THE EDGE SO U SHOULDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS ATTACHING. HAPPY GAMING !!!
you get some stupid plastic peg things to support the machine sideways...
Yes you get two little feet to attach to stand it horizontally, if you want it to stand Vertically your need to buy a stand.
Hi Johnnyhotrocks,

Thank you for using Q&A
Yes. 2 little plastic feet.
it has an internal 2TB SSD on the console which has 1.89TB of free space...
you can also add an expansion SSD with Heatsink inside the machine which can be up to 8TB to play PS5 games from... or and an external HDD to store PS5 games and play PS4 games from...
ssd
All PS5s use SSDs inside them, you can connect a normal HDD to them via USB but it will only let you play PS4 games from a HDD.
PS5 games need the internal SSD.
You also have the option of buying and intsalling a 2nd internal m2 SSD for more high speed space for PS5 games, which is not as hard as it sounds.
