About this product
Your child takes turns with friends or family to slide coloured swords into the pirate barrel. One wrong move will send Blackbeard flying out of his hiding spot. No one knows which sword will trigger the pop. It is different every time you play. The classic action game keeps children guessing with every turn. Perfect for ages 4 and up, it suits two or more players for quick games that build suspense.
The barrel holds 24 coloured swords that slot in carefully during play. Players are out when they make Blackbeard pop up from his barrel. The unpredictable action keeps children engaged through repeated rounds. No batteries are required for this hands-on game. Supervision is recommended as stated for younger players. This game encourages turn-taking and fine motor skills while delivering suspenseful fun for group play.

Well made but rubbish game plan.
The idea of the game is good and kids would like it very much if it performed better. The problem is that there is only one slot that activates the 'pop up' so the game can proceed and get boring, especially if the kids sussout the slot that works. I bought it for grandchildren aged 4-9 and the pirate didn't pop up at all several times. I returned the game and bought a similar crocodile game where any teeth can be the one tht activates the croc to bite. It changes each time. Much better and much laughter.

Popping pirate fun
My three year old grandson screamed with delight when the pirate popped. He loved trying to guess which coloured sword would make the pirate pop up.

Poor quality
Couldn't believe how small this is nowadays. Also quite flimsy. Didn't think it would last long in all honesty so decided to return it.

Fast service
Bought this and collected at 7pm the same day as a replacement present as my grandsons one had broken that day and he loved playing it, gave him it at 10am the next day and the joy in his face was just beautiful to see. I loved that I could click and collect which takes 2 minutes so that I don't have to worry about finding it in a big store. I have bad legs so it's worth it to me.

Avoid
This toy broke in about 15 minutes! It worked for a little bit and then the pirate stopped popping out. Didnt bother getting another one.

Hello Alex,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Pop Up Pirate Game: To start a new game, twist the pirate down. It will then be a different hole in the barrel that will make the pirate pop.
Thank you for using Q&A.
