About this product

Leek 'Stromboli' produces thick medium-length shanks with blue-green leaves and a mild flavour, ready to harvest in early autumn. This fast-growing, H4-hardy variety blanches well and holds in the ground until needed. Sow indoors Jan–Feb: sow thinly 1 cm deep into pre-watered trays at 10–15°C and keep moist. Sow outdoors Mar–Apr: sow thinly 1 cm deep in seed beds in rows 15 cm apart and keep soil moist. Plant out Apr–May when 20 cm tall into 15 cm deep holes, fill with water, and space plants 15–20 cm apart in rows 25–30 cm apart.
