It has three cleaning modes including Daily Clean, Sensitive and Whitening, so you can pick what works for you, plus a Smart Pressure Sensor with Gum Guard technology that lights up if you brush too hard. The Quadpacer timer pulses every 30 seconds to guide you round your mouth, and the rechargeable battery delivers 28 minutes of brushing time from a full 16-hour charge.
The 2D oscillating-rotating action buffs away plaque for a thorough clean. The visual pressure sensor helps you avoid brushing with too much force, and the brush head replacement indicator reminds you when it is time for a fresh head. Replace every three months for optimal results. Comes with one Ultimate Clean brush head, UK charging base with 2-pin plug, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery included.

Great Toothbrush - But charging is awful
The cleaning from the IO3 is undoubtedly excellent. However, after 6 months the IO3 took longer & longer to charge, ultimately not achieving full charge at all. It has had to be returned. Even when new 12 hours to charge seems extremely long bearing in mind how quickly other devices charge. Have Oral B scrimpted on the battery or charger?

Great toothbrush
A good tooth brush. Feels like it gives your teeth a good clean. No mess too. The cheaper model leaves a stain/toothpaste residue dripping down the body despite rinsing it clean. The timer goes on beyond 2 minutes for those who like to brush for longer. A small vibration at 30 second intervals. Highly recommend.
