Great replacement for Charge 5
I bought this to replace my Charge 5 that's battery died after several years of use. This is a great replacement. Clearer displays and excellent connectivity. Absolutely love it.

I only need to charge it about twice a week. Overall it’s a really solid fitness tracker that does exactly what I want without being too complicated. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a simple but capable fitness watch.

Hoping for a Charge 7 release!
Have had various Fitbits for 10 years+ - this is the second Charge 6. The positives - good for tracking steps, sleep and activity. Comfortable to wear day and night and strap has stayed secure and hasn’t caused any reaction. The strap on the first Charge 6 lasted over 2 years without needing a replacement. Not so great - the software was much more useful when a web browser version was available. The app is slow to load data and sometimes misses out whole days/weeks/months in graphs where data has been recorded and is accessible if you go into a different view. The icons are now so big that there’s endless scrolling and sub menus to get to basic information. First Charge 6 lasted just over 2 years before the battery died and had continual issues with the Bluetooth not reconnecting automatically after being out of range. I (and many others) reported this but no software update or app update resolved it. That said, the screen is easier to read than the Inspire and a replacement for the Charge 6 has yet to emerge so I went with another. Unfortunately the Bluetooth reconnection issue is the same on the replacement. Hoping that Fitbit/Google will have resolved this in whatever comes next but (as of March 26) no indication of a release date.

Hi there, Martin. Yes, the Charge 6 allows you to receive time or distance-based updates during a workout. Here’s how to set that up:
1. On your tracker, open the Exercise app then select the workout you want to track.
2. Swipe up to open the exercise settings.
3. Tap Set Laps > Show laps.
4. Choose the cue type and frequency. Swipe right to confirm your choice.
5. Swipe down to return to the exercise screen, then tap Play to start the workout.

I can advise that the Fitbit Charge 6 Fitness Tracker - Obsidian can track your run via GPS and notify you for each milestone that you achieve. You can set your milestone as 1km and receive a notification every time you reach each kilometre.
