Very happy with the Fitbit Charge 6 itself, but the charger is the worst of any electrical appliance I have owned. a) it is unique, so it's one more cable to carry around. b) It has a magnetic connection to the Fitbit, which is so flimsy it often doesn't charge but manages to stick to every other USB cable in the drawer. c) the cable is too short, so the Fitbit has to charge on the floor

Hi there, Martin. Yes, the Charge 6 allows you to receive time or distance-based updates during a workout. Here’s how to set that up:
1. On your tracker, open the Exercise app then select the workout you want to track.
2. Swipe up to open the exercise settings.
3. Tap Set Laps > Show laps.
4. Choose the cue type and frequency. Swipe right to confirm your choice.
5. Swipe down to return to the exercise screen, then tap Play to start the workout.

I can advise that the Fitbit Charge 6 Fitness Tracker - Obsidian can track your run via GPS and notify you for each milestone that you achieve. You can set your milestone as 1km and receive a notification every time you reach each kilometre.
