Manhattan T4. So far, so good.
I have only had the T4 for a few days and only made two recordings so far. Used with a TCL android tv the programme guide is very good and the recording process is very intuitive. The remote control has a couple of programmable keys but nothing special, i.e., volume, channel, mute and power of the TV. The playback picture quality is not great but I may not have got the settings right just yet. Compared to my aged Humax it is very much faster and much easier to navigate. The supplied HDMI cable was a little short for my original set up, but neither of two longer cables I tried would work!

Brilliant
I was until buying the Manhattan a Humax fan for many years. The Manhattan blows the Humax out of the water it’s easy setup and is very easy to use highly recommended it.

Very pleased with the Manhattan T4-R
Bought the Manhattan T4-R a week ago and I am very happy with it. It was easy to tune the channels and connect to WiFi. Recording works perfectly and being able to scroll back to programs from the previous week has been a boon.

Freeview Recordet
Only bought this two days ago, so cannot comment on lifespan. The T4 was reasonably easy to set up and operation is simple, with the remote easy to use. Bought this to replace a Humax recorder that we have had for a few years. The T4 works much more quickly and the channels are all in the correct positions which after channel updates on the Humax they were not.

Great features
Easy to connect, slightly complicated to use all the features but fine if you learn them one at a time. Good quality and great value for money.

Quality piece of kit!
Bought a couple of days ago to replace one that had broken. Immediate reaction is just how compact and well made the recorder is. Very easy set up and no problems with compatibility etc. Connectivity via wi- fi was very straight forward and we had it up and running in no time. We are heavy users so the 1TB storage was very adequate and the quality of the resolution excellent. All the usual apps and interfaces make this a very versatile machine. So glad we bought this recorder a real practical and quality piece of kit. Highly recommended.

Hello TV Hero,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Manhattan T4-R 1TB Freeview Play 4K TV Recorder: ''Yes it can be used. However the TV aerial signal lead must be connected to the T4-R's AERIAL IN socket. Further connect another signal lead from the T4-R's LOOP OUT socket to the TV's aerial in socket.''

Hello PeterF,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Manhattan T4-R 1TB Freeview Play 4K TV Recorder: The T4•R does not support the old MHEG teletext service. Instead, modern Freeview Play TVs and set-top boxes, including the T4•R, use the new HbbTV technology. This powers the Connected Red Button service, which requires an internet connection.
