Efficient and effective
I recently purchased this Russell Hobbs iron and I’m really impressed with its performance. It heats up quickly, glides smoothly over clothes, and removes wrinkles with very little effort. The steam function is powerful and works especially well on thicker fabrics like jeans and cotton shirts. The iron is also lightweight and comfortable to hold, making ironing much easier and faster. I like the large water tank, which means fewer refills during use. The temperature controls are simple to adjust, and the overall build quality feels durable and reliable. Overall, this is an excellent iron for everyday use. It delivers great results, saves time, and offers very good value for money. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable and efficient iron.

Quick fast and a super steam output
Heats up quickly with a Largs plate that glides seamlessly and excellent steam blast output has reduced my ironing time as it’s so fast and easy to use . Gear length to the electrical cord which helps with larger items like quilt covers etc…

Rubbish.
Heavy, and basic. Had cheaper irons that did a better job. Have returned for refund .

Multiple design faults!
When people said this was heavy i thought well a heavy iron will work better, what they didn't say is that it is 3 times the size of my old iron, it looks like it ate two of them, but the plate foot is no bigger. So you have this massive, and yes heavy, thing to wield. It seems unnecessarily enormous and it is therefore very cumbersome. Probably fine if i was running a laundry, but the only thing i iron is seams etc when i am dress making and this iron is pretty useless for that all round. Not only is it heavy, cumbersome and too big, but what none of the reviews i read told me is that if you have a flat basket type ironing board (and believe me even if i didn't i wouldn't risk propping this monster upright for fear of the ironing board getting knocked and it flying off it feels so tall) the stupid thing beeps and turns itself off after 8 seconds! 8 seconds! It's a bit what the daft right wing press call the nanny state! I can't be trusted not to leave an iron on my clothing and burn it! So as a dressmaking iron this is rendered almost useless because you are constantly picking it up and putting it down to iron small seams (seams you flatten all over with your monster iron) or sewing a seam, coming back to press etc. so what do you have? Constant annoying beeping and a luke warm iron everytime you need it and the feeling that you can't be trusted to press your seams for longer than 8 seconds! If you want to just iron enormous sheets maybe this is the iron for you, but if you make clothes avoid it like the plague i wish o could take it back. I thought i could live with its size and weight, but i didn't discover its true uselessness for my purpose until i started using it and it was too late to return! Grrr

Very Poor Product - Disappointed Customer
First time I have used this iron today, it was too heavy, soleplate did not glide smoothly over fabrics, kept dragging on materials. I could not 'power through' the ironing as suggested in the description in fact I had to give up as it was so heavy and my wrist was painful even having to swap hands to try and get our pre holiday ironing completed. The steam function is very poor, the heat selection settings dial is poor quality and for the steam to work properly it has to be on very high heat which on white cotton sheets seemed to tinge them. I will be returning this first thing in the morning I think Russell Hobbs needs to take notice of the feedback being provided.
