The Madrid Wooden Day Bed fits neatly into a guest room or any space needing flexible sleeping arrangements. This single day bed with a wooden frame works as seating by day and a bed by night. The curved headboard adds character. Choose from solid white or natural oak finishes to match your furniture. Wooden slats support the mattress evenly without a separate base. There's 31cm of space underneath for storage or cleaning. An optional trundle is available separately for extra sleeping space.
The frame holds up to 110kg. Wooden slats distribute weight evenly and let air circulate around the mattress. The solid white and natural oak finishes are easy to wipe clean. It arrives flat-packed in two parcels, and you'll need two people for assembly. All fixings and instructions are included. There's a one year manufacturer's guarantee for peace of mind.

Madrid sofa bed
I was looking for a sofa bed for a spare room that would also be comfortable for guests. This is effectively a full size single bed designed to look like a sofa. When it arrived the back panel was damaged. The replacement process was very straightforward and a new back panel arrived within a week. Customer service is all managed online so there is no call centre but it was seamless and I was pleased jusf to get a replacement for the damaged part and not a whole sofa bed. The bed itself is solid, easy to assemble and looks great in sofa mode with some large cushions along the back and a coloured fitted sheet or throw over the mattress. You also need a single mattress which isn't included. Bear in mind as it is a single bed size the "seat" is quite deep in sofa mode so your feet may not touch the ground when you are sitting back in the sofa.

Easy to assemble, The slats are rough though and dont feel especially strong. Time will tell. Overall though its reasonably good quality. It does need to be assembled in the room it will be in as it wont fit though a standard door once assembled

Great day bed
I bought both the Madrid day bed and trundle, which work well in our spare room to use as a spare bed and sofa. The frame itself was straightforward to put together and looks great, although the slats for underneath the mattress were not well finished, with rough edges etc. The trundle seems reasonably secure and worked well as twin beds for elderly parents visiting. There are 2 issues with the Day Bed / trundle that I experienced: 1) There is a difference in height between the positioning of the slats on the Day Bed and the trundle, about 2 cm/half an inch which results in an uneven mattress surface if you use it as a double bed. 2) When I bought a standard UK single mattress for it, I discovered that the bed frame is actually bigger than a standard single bed size and there is a gap between the end of the mattress and frame. Essentially a European single mattress would fit this bed properly rather than a UK one. In the end I decided to keep the UK single mattress I had bought (which I couldn't return) even though it was too short as with throw / cushions etc it looked fine. Both my mattresses had a slight difference in depth so I could get a reasonably ok surface for it to be a double too. However, if a product is designed to fit a European single mattress size and sold in the UK, it really should clearly this state in the product listings so that customers can buy the right size mattress, which this didn't at the time of purchase. Overall this is a lovely daybed, looks really good, seems solidly made and I'm happy with it. I could just have done without the stress at buying the wrong mattress size! Better attention to detail from manufacturer/retailer would ensure other customers don't make the same mistake I did and simple defects like the difference in height for the slats of the trundle/day bed don't happen. Otherwise I would have given it 5* all round.
