Steel sheet not set properly on worktop
Cast iron Pan support is excessively heavy, not required to be too heavy when below steel base is poor. The steel base does not set properly on worktop, its not leveled. Steel sheet bumps from middle. my fitter took hours to connect full circumference to worktop, still does not set properly I would request AEG, Please work on steel base as well, dont make only pan support heavy. Thank you

Its so bad meterial even you. Clean it is look so dirty also meterial is rubbish and it looks all stratched after a week

This is great hob. Pans sit perfectly no need to worry about any wobble. Having the large gas ring are the front is perfect for larger pans

Early Days
Our new Hob was only installed two days ago so hasn't been used much yet. Appears to be good quality and value for money.

The AEG HGE64200SM gas hob requires a minimum worktop thickness of 28mm for safe and proper installation. Installing it in a 20mm thick worktop poses several risks:
⚠️ Risks of Installing in a 20mm Worktop
Structural Instability:
The hob may not be securely supported, increasing the risk of movement or sagging over time.
This can lead to stress on the gas connections or damage to the hob itself.
Heat Damage:
Thinner worktops may not provide adequate insulation from the heat generated by the hob.
This could cause warping, discoloration, or even fire hazards depending on the material.
Gas Safety Concerns:
Improper installation height or support can affect the integrity of the gas connection.
This increases the risk of gas leaks, which can lead to fire or carbon monoxide exposure.
Non-compliance with Manufacturer Guidelines:
Installing against specifications may void warranties or insurance coverage.
It could also fail building or safety inspections.
Ventilation and Clearance Issues:
A thinner worktop might not allow for proper clearance between the hob and cabinetry or appliances below, affecting ventilation and increasing fire risk.

Use a worktop that is at least 28mm thick, as specified by AEG.
If your current worktop is 20mm, consider reinforcing it or installing a thicker insert where the hob will sit.
Always have the hob installed by a Gas Safe registered engineer to ensure compliance and safety.
