Good device but poor package
Argos delivered the great service as usual. However the softwax had been leaking and made a really messy. It is also very difficult to clean the cold sticky soft wax. It is a terrible experience. Other than this, the device works as it described.

Not great.
As someone who has been home waxing for 10+years, I decided to treat myself to new kit. This set whilst smart looking is not great. It is difficult to regulate the temperature of the wax, which very quickly gets too hot to use. It also becomes too thin to use at temperature. So I find myself having to take it off the warmer to cool down to a good consistency and then reheat. It's faffy. The hot wax is difficult to use. It breaks quite easily, and leaves residue. The wax is actually very efficient if you can get the exact heat, consistency and length of hair, but not ideal. I also found where hair was thick the wax didn't pull out well or needed cutting out. As I said I have years of experience. I think a novice would find this very difficult and give up. I would return for a refund as I feel it is not really good enough, but now it's used, I'm guessing they would refuse to refund. My old waxing system was Babyliss which was easy, perfect temperature and sadly they went out of business or I would have bought a new one from them. I might try this machine with different wax and hope for a better result.

PERFECT. WALLET HAPPY.
I bought this one week ago and I have 0 regrets! The soft wax is amazing and it got rid of my bodyhair so so well. I have been told my bodyhair is very difficult to wax (very stubborn lol) by professionals at beauty saloons and, therefore, they would spend longer than expected making my armpits or legs look great. Now, I am amazed by how well this wax and product works overall. Extremely happy. I'll never go back to a beauty saloon! My wallet feels good :)

I'm a complete novice but managed this quite qwell first time out with soft wax. Yes it is a bit messy but take your time and put a towel underneath the pot until you get the hang of it. A great price!

Having looked into this. Hard wax is meant to be more gentle on the skin and used for more sensitive areas, as less painful to remove. Soft wax is meant to be better for larger areas, such as legs or back.

No lid for storage. The pot with handle is for hard wax so this set if there's any left. The soft wax comes in its own pot with screw on lid.

“ The end consumer can use the plastic pot that the soft wax is supplied in directly with the heater that comes with the kit.
However we are unable to comment on other manufacturer’s plastic pots being able to be used directly in the heater. ”

Yes you can. I have placed the plastic pot of wax that came with the waxing heater inside and it was perfectly safe. The tub of wax is quite tough so will need abit of heating before it can be removed. However the heater does take awhile to heat the wax from a plastic tub. The heater is not strong enough to burn it or heat all of the wax in the pot quickly but it will soften it. Once it has been softened I placed the wax from the pot onto to heater then I started to see results and eventually the wax was able to get to a usable texture. Hope this helps!
